Booked one night's stay online which advised us that we could check in from 2pm. After driving for several hours and a busy day sight seeing we were looking forward to checking into this 4* B&B, having an evening meal (online it had said there was a restaurant) On arriving, the car park was empty and on the side door... I booked more than 11 months in advance to stay at this place in Sept 2014 - we are attending a wedding in the area and I wanted to be sure we had accommodation well in advance. Five months later, I got a refund through paypal from a name I didn't recognise. I discovered this was a booking agent and... More

We found this excellent (and very good value) B&B quite by chance as we found ourselves in the area whilst visiting family recently. The hosts were really welcoming and we were given a very large en-suite room which, although a bit chilly when we arrived because it had been thoroughly aired with windows wide open, warmed up very quickly once... This was my fourth visit to the old Vine and as always my sister and I were heartily welcomed? We sat in front of a beautiful fire, very cheering on a chilly evening. The staff are always very jolly and extremely attentive. The Parma ham and roasted goats cheese salad is fabulous!!!, thanks again guys for a fabulous evening. We'll... More

We went for a family Birthday celebration Lunch and we had a really lovely time . The Sunday Roast was the best roast I have ever had ( praise indeed ) Roast Beef . Followed by Home made Sticky Toffee Pudding , which was the best ever ! A really lovely atmosphere and extremely busy , yet the service was... More

Earlier this year we were due to stay at the Old Vine after a local dinner party. When we got back to the pub (after closing time) we found out that we (and another couple) had been locked out. The key we had been given simply did not work. We knocked on the door and phoned but got no reply.... More

Stayed here whilst working in Wadhurst. Very nice room, very comfortable. I arrived late but rang ahead to let them know. I think they lock the doors quite early so it's best to check. I missed dinner but the chef very kindly made me a delicious ham, egg and chips. Unfortunately I left too early for breakfast which if it... More

Booked a room there for 1 night. Checked in at 5.00pm, left my belongings in a room and told the lady that, given the fact that I was attending an event with customers I shall arrive a bit late, should be 10.00pm, surely before 11.00pm at the latest. I was told to phone if I should arrive after 11.00pm. The... More

Everything was very lovely. The breakfast was very nice, and the room was extremely quiet. The drain was a bit blocked in the bath/shower, but everybody has those sorts of problems now and again. Others have talked about the getting back in time, but isn't the main reason we stay above a pub so that we don't have far to... More
