Have visited the Greyhound over a number of years and become immune to the land lady with no personality or interest in her customers but decided to give it one last try. Wrong food order came out after ordering on the phone clearly asking for steak and onions in ciabatta bread, a friend ordered pulled pork in ciabatta bread and... More

We stayed at the Greyhound due to a family bereavement. We had a lovely welcome from all staff. The locals were totally fantastic. The food was so lovely you didn't want it to stop. The staff were fabulous, always making sure everything was ok with us. The rooms were warm and all you need. Big bath towel which wrapped round... More

Basically, the actual hotel/pub is OK but let down by pretty dire management. When I first booked I asked for an acknowledgement, 5 attempts later by e-mail and phone I never got a satisfactory answer. Later, whilst trying to book a table for dinner again "can't do that now, will send you an e-mail"---nothing, so I gave up. I initially... More

We attended a wedding and stayed at the Greyhound B&B on 11th April 2015. We were shown to our room by a friendly member of staff and dropped our bags off. After the wedding we arrived back at the hotel late into the night and found the B&B room easy to access and thankfully on a very quiet road. The... More

We stayed overnight and was sadly very disappointed. The hospitality was non existent. The room with its paper thin walls and creaking doors were annoying. The huge selection of teas was the only nice touch. Even the breakfast in the morning although being tasty took a long time to arrive and was dished out in a begrudging manner. It should... More

The food was very sub-standard and due to a misinterpretation of a private conversation amongst friends. There has now been another altercation regarding a bad meal of which I was told quite intensively by the landlord to not speak about my grievences to friends of mine in public. I could go on about the amount of money I've spent over... More

We rarely go out for a roast meal on a Sunday, as our teenagers love my crispy roast potatoes and 'proper' homemade (no granules!) gravy. I had heard that the roast meal at the Greyhound was excellent, so decided to go against tradition and book us in. The dining room was warm and inviting with gorgeous log fires roaring at... More

Cold bonfire night we decided to meet in the greyhound. When we arrived I thought it was a lovely pub very cosy and the food looked lovely. We ordered a round of drinks with the lady behind the bar. She didn't crack a smile the whole time. We put it down to being a little busy? After all of our... More

We have been using the Greyhound for over ten years whilst visiting the area to see friends and family. Its a lovely very old pub, with inglenook fireplaces and low beams. It has greatly improved over the past couple of years, with decoration inside and out and good pub food in a lovely setting.

We visited here in august expecting a pleasant stay & hoping to hold business meals here once a month or so for our clients in the surrounding areas. No way! I would be embarrassed to invite clients to be treated in such a manor. Upon arriving, the sunshine was taken out of our day by a landlady who looked us... More
