Shocked to see numerous kids running round the pub causing chaos! The proprieters child was causing havoc and disturbing everyone! Toys were flying around the room and screams echoing off the walls! This pub should not be an extension of the owners living room! The food was good and the portions adequate! Loved the old style theme of the pub!

Stayed for two nights to visit friends and for business meetings in the area. The room was lovely and clean. Nice shower, really good selection of teas - real coffee and cafeitiere which was a nice touch. Breakfast selection cooked to order and very good. The pub is very relaxed and the fire is always lit so it is a... More

Stayed here last minute as New Year's Eve plans had changed. Chose Wadhurst as a point of walking around some beautiful countryside. At first I thought the pub was a bit dingy but when we were shown our small but cosy double room I was reassured. We were also surprised by the lack of food on offer for New Year's... More

We needed somewhere overnight on a recent two day fly fishing break in Sussex. The Greyhound was recommended to us by another local pub that had until recently offered B&B. We were not disappointed as the Greyhound has a great atmosphere, friendly staff and was very good value . We ate in and the food was very good as was... More

This is probably the best Pub in the village of Wadhurst, with its open fire and great ales it's not one you should miss. Staff are friendly, there is a large beer garden and the food is good. Never too busy so it's just a nice place to go for a meal and a drink.

The rooms at the Greyhound are actually in a converted barn that adjoins the pub and offer small but clean accommodation - by small I mean that there was just enough space for twin beds and the chest of drawers - cloths had to be hung on coat-hangers on the coat rack or over the interestingly placed tie bar (meant... The accommodation in this 16th century inn is not in fact in the hotel itself; it's the converted stables to the side of and in front of the hotel. It fronts on to what is referred to as a 'dining terrace', but which is merely a number of tables in an unattractive pebble-covered open space next to the High Street.... More

I stayed here when going to a wedding in the village. The pub itself is lovely and has character, the rooms were very well presented and had everything we needed. The highlight was probably the breakfast, where we had all manner of choice from full English to eggs benedict to porridge. Great value and lovely friendly staff.

Very friendly service. Beautifu, quiet,l pub garden at the rear and dining terrace at the front. Fantastic weather so really enjoyed being able to enjoy the warm sunny days. The restaurant food was delicious and the menu had plenty of choices to cover all gourmet tastes. It was such a lovely day we ate outside. The bed and breakfast accommodation... More

Had a lovely lunch at the Greyhoound. First time we've ever been, won't be the last! Beautiful food, big portions! The food arrived quickly and it was excellent quality. The staff were very helpful and the atmosphere was just brilliant. The locals were all friendly and they made us welcome. I would very much reccommend the greyhound and definately the... More
