Great setting, and probably even better if you're a golfer! No idea if the course is any good. The hotel is set away from the bar and restaurant but it's not far, even if it's raining. The guy that 'welcomed' us wasn't exactly over the moon to see us but had us checked in straight away. Room was nice and... More

Stayed one night on 11th October as part of a family group who were in the area for a 60th Birthday. The rooms are large, clean, comfortable and very quiet, excellent value for money. The breakfast was delicious especially the bacon and eggs. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially as there was 13 of us. I highly recommend... More

Seven of us stayed here on Saturday night and although rooms were more than adequate it was a surprise to find no lounge or bar in building! There was a walk of some 200 yards to reach the bar and restaurant which was not at all something we wanted in inclement weather!! Also we were told there was a private... More

We stayed here over night to celebrate a very important anniversary. Room no. 6 is beautiful; large with a huge firm but comfortable bed and a balcony that overlooks the green. The bathroom is equally large and both rooms spotlessly clean. Green's restaurant offered a very small menu with no vegetarian option and no 'specials'. My husband and I had... More

A friend and I recently stayed at the hotel for two nights as part of a 3-day golf tuition package. The hotel accomodation itself was very clean, well presented and the beds were comfortable. We were sharing a twin room with two single beds - the room was plenty large enough that it didnt feel cramped or too small at all.... More

We stayed at the hotel for one night while on business. The hotel reception was a little difficult to find and we then had to walk from the club house down an unmade up path to the hotel building. Entry via the key code was not easy but there was help on hand from some lady golfers coming back from... More

My partner and i recently spent a relaxing 5 days at the Sedlescombe Golf Hotel. We don't play golf, we just used it as a 'base' for exploring the surrounding countryside and visiting National Trust properties. Our room was great, in fact we concluded possibly one of the best they had to offer, why? because as the sun went down... More

Excellent facilities, food and accommodation. Tuition was spot on, and as a direct consequence my entire game was improved immensely in just two days of intensive training from Ian Davison. All the staff where extremely gracious and always very helpful no matter what. Just one minor setback, but there was no shower in the room. I will definitely go back.

I really enjoyed this experience and it has made an improvement to my golf; at least when I remember and put into effect what I learned. The room we had was good quality (my wife was with me ,but she doesn't play golf), but, because it was a room with a sloping roof, it was a bath with a shower... More

My husband and I spent 2 peaceful nights at this lovely hotel. Hubby played 2 rounds of golf and really enjoyed the course. Hotel food was good, cooked breakfast excellent and beds very comfy. Only thing missing as others also state is a shower in the rooms. Definitely will return.
