This 16th century Tudor Mansion overlooks the picturesque village green at Sedlescombe, near Battle East Sussex is within easy reach of Hastings, Rye, Tenterden, Tunbridge Wells. It was built for the local iron-master around 1600. Although additional modern bedrooms and a conservatory style private dining room have bee added, it retains its charm and character especially in the bar and... More

Have been visiting this beautiful hotel for several years, and, decided to hold my husbands 60th birthday celebrations here. It was everything we expected, nothing was to much trouble, service was first class, staff were friendly, efficient, but not intrusive. The food was excellent throughout our 3 night stay, and, despite being busy we were never kept waiting. One of... More

We dined in this restaurant twice on our recent visit to the area. Very extensive menu and set prices for a 2 or 3 course meal. Exceptional value for money. Service was very attentive without being intrusive. Did not stay at the Hotel this time but would certainly consider next time we are staying in the area.

Every time we visit it is always top quality. Lets start with the hotel itself. Its an old building and the decorations are the same. Some people may complain that the decor is out of date, but in an old building like that, it just works and i would like it if it changed. Secondly we have the rooms. Every... More

We didn't have prior experience of this hotel and my husband booked at the last minute for a Friday and Saturday night. Postcode and SatNav worked perfectly and there was ample parking. In a tiny village, with a pub, post-office, hairdresser and antiques shop. Couldn't fault service - room 4 was in the main hotel and comfortable and clean (overlooking... More

We stayed for a long weekend and had a wonderfull stay, there was a problem with one of the taps but this was put right while we went in for dinner. The food was excellant along with the service, which carried on into breakfast. Would recommend to anyone.

We have been to the brick wall hotel twice in the last few weeks and both times have been very impressed. The staff are very attentive without getting in the way. The hotel is well-kept has also are the beautiful gardens. I would certainly recommend this hotel for a pleasant meal or a quiet break away from the crowds.

I booked 2 rooms to take my mother in law (89) back to this area to catch up with old friends. The staff couldn't have been more helpful ensuring she had a small double at the single rate but when we arrived ensuring we were next door to each other. Restaurant were very understanding of her small appetite and catered... More

Having eaten at the Brickwall in the past ,I decided to book an overnight stay with dinner as a treat for my partner. We were allocated room 6 ,a lovely bright suite overlooking the village green with a good view of the resident geese and gosling. Our room was pleasant with a large comfy bed, beautifully clean bathroom and tea/coffee making... More
