The Premier Inn Newhaven hotel offers a convenient location near transport links and amenities such as Sainsbury's, which many guests appreciate despite occasional navigation challenges. However, travelers have mixed feelings about the service, encountering both friendly staff and disorganization. While some praise the cleanliness of the rooms and linens, others point out areas needing better maintenance. Room conditions often disappoint guests, with common complaints about stuffiness and poor ventilation. Furthermore, reviewers frequently express that the hotel's amenities and overall value fall short of expectations.

For the price we've paid it was a very good night. The hotel is very near the ferry and that why we took it. Impressive big room and comfortable bed for the price. If we had time we ate the breakfast there for sure.

We stayed over for 2 nights while visiting family, the hotel was lovely, staff were helpful and friendly especially Jake on reception. Fire alarm went off at 5am on one of the mornings but if its a life saver there's no complaints from me.

My stay at this hotel was very good no problems at all . Would recommend Having the Brewers Fair next door was a bonus as well. As no need to go and find somewhere to eat. Food was very good value for money. The staff in the hotel and the restraunt very very friendly and helpful

The hotel was really very dirty, from the main areas, to the corridors and our bedroom. The toilet was not cleaned at the back and underneath, the shower running rail was filthy, the skirtings and edges of carpet hadn't been hoovered for months, the net curtain was grubby etc... In the corridor outside our room were a discarded cleaning cloth and some tea spoons on the floor. I don't know how they get away with this very low level of cleanliness. Do not stay there! It is a shame as the reception staff is really lovely!

I was most disappointed that my room was not cleaned. I was told that it's since coved they don't clean on a two night stay. I find this unacceptable. It doesn't hurt to clean a bathroom and empty a bin. I've been in many premier inns around the country this is the first time this has happened. So no top up of coffee etc no clean cups. To top that off my partner and I were sitting in bed on the Sunday evening watching TV and a man let himself in our room. He apologised and left. I went down to report this at reception and all they said was that the man had already reported it. We were given a complimentary breakfast about the room but I'm very dissatisfied. The second most terrible stay I've had in a hotel.

Lovely staff, clean and comfortable beds . We stay in PI all the time and this one was definitely 'tired' . The Brewers Fayre next door where you eat also in need of an upgrade . Very handy for Edinburgh though as at the end of the tram line . Again - staff amazing !!

This hotel is really in need of an update. Our room was dated and had marks and stains over the walls and furniture. The bathroom was tired and had stains all over the walls with chipped tiles. In the morning, one of the cleaners was singing/shouting so loudly with music on full blast, making this really not what we wanted to wake up to… Staff were pleasant and polite but this hotel really does need an upgrade.
