We made a mistake by booking 11 family members in to the Lodge for one night. The owner was barely able to communicate in English, and could barely be bothered to show us our rooms. The house is terribly cramped, sparsely furnished and rooms are accessed via steep narrow stairs on 3 floors. God knows how one would cope in... More

We stayed for 2 nights, at the start and end of our travels to Europe. The Lodge is conveniently located on the edge of a main strip where there is a lovely coffee shop immediately on your right, and a quaint pub further down called the White Hart. Everyone we met was exceptionally pleasant. The Lodge is not even a... More

We had the ground floor room which smells of damp and the ensuite smells of drains. So close to busy main road that traffic kept us awake all night. Ferry leaves at 9, check-in at 8 so most people won't have breakfast anyway as not available until 7.30. We were assured that they had a parking space which we reserved... More

We stayed here thinking we were getting a nice family run B&B... Instead we were met by a very rude man we demanded we pay now. As I was with 5 other friends we had 3 rooms booked in which I had to pay in full before we were all in the door. We were also cycling and our bikes... More

Stayed over one night. Convenient for ferry but room was in dire need of a deep clean. Bedding was clean but carpet and floor was not. A small rug was covering a hole in the floor. The whole place was grubby . Would not stay again.

Had an overnight stay here before catching the ferry to Dieppe. Nice room with adequate breakfast. Quiet location and very close to the port although parking is limited and you may need to park on the road, although it is not busy.

We arrived off the Dieppe ferry at about 10pm and found the hotel but as there are double yellow lines all down the road and into the one way system we couldn't stop outside! We found a place to stop in a road a short distance away and I walked to the hotel. Our allocated room was on the top... More

Overnight pit stop for early morning ferry to Dieppe. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and staff were welcoming & accommodating. Secure storage for bikes too. Only slight downside was a lack of parking but managed to park in a road round the back.

We had cycled from London and needed an overnight stop before the 9 a.m. ferry. On arrival about 4 pm met by a brusque man "you pay now" who briskly also demanded our breakfast order (£6.50 extra) which we were in no frame of mind to think about. Declining his offer we left our bikes in their dining room -... More

I recently booked a stay with this 'friendly' establishment to attend a family function. All was well, until my son fell ill. I cannot travel with an ill child & so I had to cancel my stay. I called them with 27 hours notice (over their 1 day cancellation policy) and was rudely told that I had called with less... More
