Good place to stay if you're looking to stay just overnight (we were catching a ferry from Newhaven the next day). We booked a triple room which was really a double with an extra put you up squeezed in and we had to ask for an extra towel and cup and saucer for the third person. However the hotel staff... More

They took 2 lots of payment from us online in error. Only got one confirmation email for the one room that we did book. On arrival we only got one key and nothing was said about the mystery room that we didn't book. We only found out when looking at bank statement re the other room that they took for.... More

We only stayed 1 night, it was very old & dated & the breakfast was very limited, hardly any orange juice left, no choice of bread whether white or wholemeal & as I am intolerant to wholemeal not much I could eat at breakfast, only marmalade, laughing cow cheese spreads or marmite available for breakfast, We were quoted one price... This hotel has to be the most dreadful place I have ever stayed in.The room was dirty to the extent I wrote a hello in the dust on top of the TV. The bathroom floor had not been cleaned in months, there was tide marks of dirty limescale on the tiles and hairs in the bath, the bathmat was black.The... More

Absolutely awful, really difficult to say something positive about this hotel. Extremely dated, dirty, poorly lit, minimal basic facilities, no specific parking, very hot rooms, no air con, not even an electric fan, window opened wide open with a twenty foot drop outside and I had to fix the cistern on the toilet so it would flush. Breakfast looked very... More

stayed for 1 night, comfortable bed, larger than normal screen tv. a well presented pub/restaurant type place and the staff were excellent. unfortunately there was no alarm clock in the room and no early morning call available so found myself drifting in and out of sleep. cost 65 quid for a single room. would I stay again? yes, but would... What a dive! 1970's decor - avocado bathroom suite. The tiles could do with a gallon of bleach. The only saving grace - the beds were quite comfortable but there was only one pillow per person. I wrote my name in the dust covering the telephone. No bedside lamps and public lavatory type toilet roll dispenser in the bathroom. Breakfast... More

We were not bothered by the old decor etc .You would however expect a bedside table and lamp each side of the bed. The breakfast is very poor. Weak orange juice, tiny teapots, basic cereals and toast. Parking restrictions outside hotel. We were here for a family party so a comfy bed was all we needed and got. We would... More

Terrible breakfast, bad service, not very clean. Decor is 1970's and not been updated since. Bathroom orange with dodgey tiling. No bedside table or bedside lights, one tea bag in tea making facilities. You have to pay for wifi.
