stayed for 1 night, comfortable bed, larger than normal screen tv. a well presented pub/restaurant type place and the staff were excellent. unfortunately there was no alarm clock in the room and no early morning call available so found myself drifting in and out of sleep. cost 65 quid for a single room. would I stay again? yes, but would... What a dive! 1970's decor - avocado bathroom suite. The tiles could do with a gallon of bleach. The only saving grace - the beds were quite comfortable but there was only one pillow per person. I wrote my name in the dust covering the telephone. No bedside lamps and public lavatory type toilet roll dispenser in the bathroom. Breakfast... More

We were not bothered by the old decor etc .You would however expect a bedside table and lamp each side of the bed. The breakfast is very poor. Weak orange juice, tiny teapots, basic cereals and toast. Parking restrictions outside hotel. We were here for a family party so a comfy bed was all we needed and got. We would... More

Terrible breakfast, bad service, not very clean. Decor is 1970's and not been updated since. Bathroom orange with dodgey tiling. No bedside table or bedside lights, one tea bag in tea making facilities. You have to pay for wifi.

If you need an average hotel here you'll find a decent bed and hot water. But forget about even basic extras, such as a bedside table/light. One day they didn't make the room, simply tucked the sheets in. And the rooms were never cleaned. I noticed because the second day when coming back from a walk in the countryside we... More

Owner inflexible: our itinerary changed and we were half a day late with cancelling (still2 days in advance). Owner did not wave (any of the) fee so we had to make the detour in the trip. Never experienced this before, Family room is old muck and right above the pub so I could actually follow conversations from guests below from... More

What a joke, ok rooms are clean but no refreshment facilities, breakfast consited of a small box of cornflackes and a slce of toast, the £65 per night is paramount to theft. p.s. his beer is discuisting.
