The Cooden Beach Hotel is a truly amazing location to hold your wedding day. There is only one way to describe our wedding day on July 31st 2014 and that is PERFECT. This is down to the fantastic location and organisation of the Hotel and its staff, nothing is too much trouble. They ask you what you want and they... More

It was my 60th birthday, so we went away for 4 days. Nice hotel but no good if you cannot climb stairs, went up one flight along corridor up another flight round a corner and we ended up on 2nd floor but felt like attic. Room was set out nice, it was a long room but narrow. Best bit was... More

Thank you for your review. Please accept our apologies for the confusion with your payment, further staff training has been carried out to ensure this is not repeated. We do appreciate that stairs are not idea for some people but we do have staff available to provide assistance with bags/suitcases to make this a little easier. More

We chose this hotel to be close to The De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill. A few years ago it was taken over by a new owner, since which time many improvements have been made. The weekend we were there was incredibly hot and we found the bedding too thick for comfort. The restaurant like so many had the same... More

Thank you for your review and very kind comments about the staff, it is much appreciated. The very warm summer days have been a trial for many of us with sleep difficult, bedding has been a 'not required' night time accessory, our night staff would have been happy to provide you with a duvet cover to use instead of the... Have visited twice, fine for bar food so can't comment on overnight stay. Pleasant staff, a good stop off for a snack or drink by the beach. Drawbacks are a the antiquated system for ordering - you place order at bar and then have to do a 'walk of shame' past all the other al fresco people to get back... More

Thank you for your review, we are pleased you chose to enjoy an early evening drink on the Beachside Terrace but sorry you consider the practice to going to the bar to place your order shameful, it is quite usual to place orders at the bar particularly in a busy bar where table service would be logistically impossible. We hope... More

WOW !!! If anyone is considering this Hotel for a wedding venue I can only say DO IT ! My daughters wedding was simply the best day of my life not only because of the people invited but also the venue . i was between visiting friends in Kent and my daughter in Brighton so decided on a one night stay at The Cooden Beach. Firstly I arrived by train and the location of the hotel next to the local railway station (Cooden Beach) was fine especially as I had quite a heavy case. I arrived at 1pm and my room was... More

It suited us to be here as we had been away from home and due to play golf early next morning at the adjacent, excellent Cooden Beach Golf Club. This is not a trendy modern hotel - far from it and thus enjoyed by its clientele. When we arrived Sunday lunch was just finishing together with resident pianist and lots... More

Don't want to sound grouchy because we only met with friendly smiles and helpfulness from the hotel staff but this place is massively anachronistic and still feels like a British seaside hotel of the 1960s. The hotel is simply not good enough, in its layout, its service, its catering, to justify the prices charged. It can only be the absence... More

I last stayed at this hotel a couple of years' ago and it was again a pleasant experience. The situation is perfect, right on the beach though it is a pebble beach unless the tide goes out, when swathes of sand appear. I asked for a single room and wasn't disappointed with the view, straight out to sea with just... More
