Had a great evening here for our work christmas party. The hotel has really upped its game since the last time we had a party there. The food was excellent, well cooked and beautifully served and presented. The staff were very helpful. One of the best large christmas do's I have been to.

We have just spent the night here for my birthday weekend, My husband booked a room with a sea view but the one we were given faced the side of the hotel with a view of the railway. The room was dark and dingy and curtain hooks had been left on the window sill??? He was just about to ring... More

A beautiful location, yes it is right on the beach and just around the corner from the train station Had a single room with a sea view single bed which was comfortable but not keen on sleeping with my face to the wall, single beds are for children !!! and most hotels have phased them out. Very nice bathroom with... More

Recently I stayed at the Cooden Beach Hotel with my girlfriend during the end of November 2014. It's in a lovely location on the South Coast, East Sussex being right on the sea front and importantly next to Cooden Beach train station so if you don't drive or want to drive it is an ideal get away with direct trains... I booked this as we were going to a concert at De La Warr Pavillion in Bexhill. it's right next to the station, and trains are frequent, run late and take 5 mins. The staff we encountered were friendly and helpful but The hotel is spectacularly drab and in desperate need of updating. Communal areas have 1980's decor and fixtures/fittings... More

I recently had lunch at the cooden beach with my wife , we both ordered the fish and chips , while waiting for lunch to be served I noticed in the open kitchen the kitchen staff handling the fish and the chips with their bare hands arranging the fish and chips on the plate , I mentioned to the lady... Took my partner for weekday lunch in this hotel as per their beach location. We have not booked but were able to get seats in restaurant. Menu was not looking bad but actual taste was not reflecting the place. Steak was overcooked, my boyfriends chicken dish was not presented the way you would expected and tasted even worse. Desserts were... More
