This was my first stay at the Old Vicarage and I can't recommend it highly enough. We received a lovely warm welcome as well as tea and cake. Wonderful comfortable room with everything you might need and a great breakfast in the morning.

We have been staying few times already and really enjoyed every time. What a lovely couple: Nick is an excellent chief and Dru a delightful hostess. Large rooms, confortable beds, spotlesseverywhere, what makes this residence even more special are the little details: sign of professionalism but above all a lot good heart and care are there to be admired!! Well... More

Tea and hot cross buns on arrival, Easter weekend. Real log fire added to ambience. Nick and Dru couldn't do enough to make us more welcome.Rooms were all excellent with really comfortable beds and choice of pillows.Breakfast, prepared by Nick and served by Dru with a flourish was wonderful.Plenty of toast and homemade preserves.Who needs 5 star hotels when there... From tea and home made cake in the lounge on arrival to fresh grapes grown in the conservatory our hosts did every thing to please. Good local knowledge was invaluable. Breakfast a feast elegantly served. A bed worthy of a 5* hotel gave a great nights sleep. Highly recommend.

Like a previous reviewer, our stay at the Old Vicarage only resulted from a recommendation from another guest house that was full for the night we wanted. We'd agree with all other reviews to date: a warm welcome; excellent cosy room, not huge but spotlessly clean with all essentials, including very helpful local information; excellent breakfast served in a lovely... We ended up staying at The Old Vicarage by chance. Our visit was arranged for us by the proprietor of another guest house who - through no fault of his own - was unable to fulfil our original booking. It has to be said, though, that he made a good choice in finding us alternative accommodation. The Old Vicarage is... More

The property is ideally situated in a quiet side road, a stones throw from the sea front and within minutes of the town and Bexhill railway station. There is free parking on the road outside the house or guests are offered space in the drive. The B&B facilities adjoin the hosts private living accommodation; guests can enjoy their own entrance... The Old Vicarage is an absolute gem and will appeal to anyone who appreciates quiet tasteful elegance, attentive service and a relaxing ambiance. Some very subtle touches and attention to detail put The Old Vicarage in a class of its own. We would most definitely stay there again and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending it to others.

Dru and Nicholas are extremelly friendly, but leave you to enjoy your break away in their spotless rooms that are very comfortable and accommodate all your needs. Breakfast is first class and everything you need is there or will be provided, also a home made evening meal on request can be served by Nicholas, who has been a Chef in... More
