We only had one night to spare, but the benefits of this delightful hotel made it seem much longer. Walberswick is so special, and the view out onto the garden, with the sea in the background, made us feel as though we had gone back decades in time. Our room was cosy and nautical in its decor, and the bathroom... More

wonderful location where you can walk to the river and sea in two minutes! Uneven floors, fabulous beer and stunning food! Great for dog lovers and walkers! Take the ferry over to southwold and relax on the ramshackle Blyth estuary! Beloved by artists for the light and the magic of of a natural and u touristy beach! Sublime village!

Couldn't decide between here or the Anchor, but chose the Bell as the menu choices were more to my daughter's taste. I had the potted mushrooms to start followed by the dressed crab. My husband had the smokies, then the fish pie. My daughter had hummus and a smoked salmon sandwich and her friend also had the dressed crab. The... More

We had Saturday lunch here. We shared a starter of whitebait which was OK but nothing special. For a main course I had hot smoked salmon with samphire and sun dried tomatoes from the Specials board. This was really very good. However, my friend had the fish stew which was considerably less good; it was essentially chunks of fish in... More

My husband and I stayed in this pub this weekend and it was a great place to be. We did have the best room. Room 6 which was very spacious. It was very clean with a lovely en-suite bathroom and tea and coffee. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast. The food was also very good with changing... More

This is a find! A wonderfully situated hotel - right on the lovely beach which is sand and dunes and goes for miles - My sister and I stayed - we had a family room - three beds with lots of space - good bathroom - our own entrance from the back of the pub and seaviews. Comfortable beds. We... More

Stayed one night while working in the area. Had Room 3 which has the low ceiling so beware, it's also above the bar and a little noise can be heard if people chatting directly below. However at night place was very quiet and bed comfortable ensuring a good night's sleep. The shower was a little cramped but the water was... More

My husband and our children 12 and 10 and our friends went to stay at The Bell Inn at Walberswick for my birthday a couple of weeks ago. We had the best time ever and I just wanted to thank the Bell Inn for looking after us so well. The rooms were lovely, had everything you needed, the breakfast in... More

Just returned from a few days in Walberswick. We have stayed in the area many times over the years but this was our first stay at The Bell. Had a brilliant time. The staff were very welcoming and the food was obviously home made and beautifully cooked - I would particularly recommend the fish dishes. I chose the same breakfast... More

First time we have stayed in the area, Walberswick and Southwold were both very nice. The pub is well situated for Walberswick beach and if the ferry (row boat) is working just a 5 minute walk to Southwold Harbour and 30 minutes to Southwold Pier (add another 35 minutes with no ferry). This is a lovely old pub with a... More
