Lovely Saturday night meal here on the August bank holiday weekend, with lamb that flaked off the bone and duck that was incredibly tender. There were good Adnams beers and the prices were really reasonable too. The only downside was that it was packed (obviously not the fault of the staff) so we were glad we booked a table. Highly... We arrived at the Bell for a late lunch one Saturday. The place was packed inside and out on a lovely, hot August day. We found a table outside in the garden which was a nice spot to relax in. We were told the wait for food would be 45 mins so we can't complain that it was!!! Our wraps... More

A real country pub with a local feel and full of character, good food, and great beer. All capped off with friendly staff and a great location - and spotless facilities. The only help they need is clearing away plates and glasses from all the family lunches - many customers always a good sign.

After the poor experience of the Anchor the night before, my son, Daughter and I chose to eat at the Bell Inn instead, we sat outside and we treated to delicious flavoursome food with good portions and high quality produce which was well presented and good value for money. We sat outside on a very pleasant summer's evening and looked... More

Absolutely loved staying in the bell. We had room 6 the family room and it was beautiful, would highly recommend. Slightly removed from the main building but in the roof, you have your own separate entrance through the garden which the kids loved. Can even glimpse the sea. Beautiful room, comfortably fitted ourselves and our two children. Staff were very... More

Very, very, busy so we waited about 45 mins for food, which we were warned of as we ordered so we knew that which is good. Food was a really good standard, service was nice enough although the young staff could look a tad more cheerful and engage a little more but they were super busy so! Loved the location... More

Me & my other half ate dinner here in the garden & enjoyed the whole experience. Staff were attentive whilst taking order & food (which was very reasonable) was wholesome & of good quality. Beer garden has stunning view overlooking the sea ........so well worth a visit. If disappointed I would be surprised.

We sat in a nice but rather busy beer garden on a July lunchtime. Despite the business, the service was swift. However, £4.20 for a pint of carlsberg is ridiculous and even though the fish and chips was delicious, it was over priced. So I guess it comes down to how much you're willing to pay for a sea view.

Had several meals here in June, some good, some very poor; I get the feeling the place is resting on its laurels and the staff at weekends are rushed off their feet and not very friendly. Food was sometimes cold or the wrong dish was brought but my biggest gripe is the appalling quality of the chips! Pubs need the... More

Worth a visit.. The food was good - cod/chips and ribs. Well cooked and tasty. The bar prices could be more competitive. Apple juice £2.50, small glass of red wine £3.85.and pint of Bitburger larger £4.10. The staff were very pleasant.
