Great historic hotel - ideal for us on a B&B tour around the coast - good value for money - excellent food and right in the heart of Southwold, close to everything you would need for an enjoyable short break stay.

We stayed here on the recommendation of another Southwold hotelier who was fully booked. The Randolph has a long history (detailed in the hotel brochure) having originally been an Adnams brewery hotel and is now leased to the couple that run it. We got the last room (5) described by the management as being their smallest - however it was... More

Stayed at the Randolph (originally built by the Adnams Brewery) on business. It's a combination Hotel, Conference Venue, restaurant and Pub. It's a good place to stay - the food was good, the beer is Adnams, breakfast was excellent (kippers always a treat). My only (small) gripe is that the sound proofing between rooms isn't up to modern hotel standards... More

Had a really lovely two day birthday break here. Very very good value at £140 for two people for two nights. Huge very comfortable bedroom. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Bar always lively. Breakfast well cooked with plenty of choice. Main meals not very exciting but well cooked and portions were plentiful. I would definitely return. It is so... More

We have just returned from a lovely two night stay at The Randolph Hotel which is about a 10 minute walk from the centre of Southwold. We were in Room 11 a spacious double room with two comfy seats (so often hotels do not provide this luxury). Breakfast was delicous and we were impressed by the choice of menu provided.... More

Disappointing surroundings in a suburban area, but the warmth, comfort and friendliness of the staff inside more than made up for it. On a cold Sunday night there were many more diners here than the posh hotels in the centre.

Dear Annemdh Never judge a book by its cover - Or even it's surroundings! - Let's hope your review will entice people to come and stay with us, we are not in 'the Bronx' and we love our village location and feel that this is a real plus. We have two great local shops and we are only 10 minutes... More

We stayed at the Randolph as a present from our daughter and son-in-law, for my husband's birthday. Our room was spacious but cosy on a very cold weekend. Everything was spotless. The staff were friendly and helpful. Donna was a lovely host. Food superb. We ate dinner in the hotel and our meals were well cooked and presented. This part... More

Just spent our third weekend at this hotel. It's clean, the rooms are big with tasteful decor, good food and staff. Just the right distance from Southwold, a brisk 10 minute walk to get the circulation going. Great value for money...a no brainer!
