My family and I occupied 3 rooms for one night in August. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, we had plenty of teas and coffees supplied and large bottles of shampoo and shower gel instead of the usual tiny ones. My son and his partner stayed in the Southwold room which was huge with not one sofa but two... More

We have been staying at the Blyth since 2009 and have always had a delightful time there. The staff are lovely and we always get a really friendly welcome. The hotel is dog friendly and this is in the true sense of the word - a nice bowl of dog treats were left for our dog in the room, which... More

The staff at the Blyth Hotel make it far more than a 2 star establishment. We have just returned from a 2 day break with our dogs and could not fault the warm welcome we were given. Our room was large, very helpful with the dogs, and the shower powerful - two huge bonuses. We were allowed to breakfast with... More

Very good considering it's rated as a 2 star hotel. Helpful friendly staff. Lovely building which is having a face lift at present. Room 3 was spacious and comfortable. Very reasonable considering breakfast was included. Location great for shops and beach

We stayed here in 2010 and it was dirty then with staff who could not careless .I am surprised if people still want to book this hotel after seeing the latest pictures on here.If they do they deserve all they get.It is continually year after year advertised as refurbished it might have been years ago and not touched since how... The hotel is easy walking distance from the beach and the centre of Southwold. However, it is in dire need of some tlc. At £110 per night I would expected more. The car park holds around 5 to 6 cars at angles - had were forced to park on the road. The room was up a flight of stairs with... More

Loverly place with nice staff and breakfast. Surprisingly close to all the shops/pubs/beach. Seemed clean and tidy and strangely quiet considering it was fully booked that night. Parking was easy enough too.

Very good location with excellent food but that’s where it ends I’m afraid. When we arrived we were blatantly ignored by one of the staff, then after nearly 15 minutes of being left stood at the bar, the owner/manager came over and asked "what do you want". We said that we knew that we were early and that we were... More

We were somewhat disappointed with our stay at the Blyth after a long wait at check in our standard room was very small, the windows were old and did not close properly one was even cracked. The electric socket had a two way adapter plugged in which i considered dangerous. The shower too me twenty minutes to get any hot... More

I read the reviews after booking and have to say some of them had me a bit concerned. But now being here so far no problems....on arrival Richard came across as very pleasant..we have a room with a balcony looking into the road...bit noisy....but we are used to that and can't sleep if it's too quite....Looking forward to breakfast......
