A good hotel in a great location. The room was clean & comfortable but could do with an update which is what the rest of the hotel needs. The breakfast was tasty & of good quality & is included in the price. Would recommend as cheaper than other hotels.

We had a family week away in southwold. We find it tricky eating out with our children due to sensory issues. The manager and staff at Blyth hotel really went the extra mile for us, they provided activity bags and a game for the children to play, they seated us in a quiet area that wasn't too bright in the... All of the staff deserve a mention - friendly, polite, helpful, and always with a smile. Room was spacious, comfortable bed, nice decor (if a little worn in places), quiet and clean. Five minutes walk to the high street. Breakfast was good - nice variety of hot choices, all cooked to order. Ate two evening meals there - both very... More

I hate writing bad things about anything unless it's absolutely necessary and I believe this is. Our room was £145 a night and we stayed two nights (£290) and it certainly wasn't worth the money. The rooms were tired and in need of a good re-decoration. Zilch wi-fi access and the breakfasts were appalling!! I've stayed in many hotels and... More

We stayed at the Blyth hotel for 2 nights and have to say that the web description of this hotel pays no resemblance to the actual place. The hotel is in a very tired run down state, there is nothing contemporary about it what so ever. The breakfast was inedible, absolutely awful. We complained, but nothing was done. Give this... We had a really lovely stay in the Blyth Hotel. The location is perfect, right on the edge of town but a 15 minute stroll to the pubs, restaurants and the beach. We arrived very late on the Friday night and received a very warm welcome for the manager, once we were settled in our room, we went to have... More

This was our fifth visit to the Blyth and we were not disappointed. Contrary to some reviews we were made to feel welcome and had no problems with our room or breakfasts. Once again, we visited with our dog and it was nice to know that he's welcome in the Aldeburgh suite and the bar area. No dog biscuits were... More

My husband and I Spent 2 nights at the Blyth hotel whilst visiting Southwold, we also brought along our dog and found the hotel to be very dog friendly which was a huge bonus - treats and a water bowl for him in the room and we were allowed to take him in the bar with us when having breakfast.... Stayed for a long weekend with friends. Here are my pros and cons. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast had good choice of cooked alternatives which were excellent. Did not eat in the restuarant .The beds were very comfortable. Certain areas and furniture in the room were tired and faded. The bathrooms definitely need modernising and updating... More

My boyfriend and I have stayed at this hotel twice now and we still weren't overly impressed the second time round. With it being under new management I was hoping for some huge improvements... Anyhow the room we had this time was good. Not sure if they noticed it was my birthday from booking or because we had booked 2... More
