We've just got home after a lovely weekend visit to Southwold, and the Blyth Hotel was perfect in everyway! This is the second time I've almost cancelled a hotel due to negative reviews on TripAdvisor, but we decided to go for it and were not disappointed at all! It instantly has a lovely seaside feel to it with the duck-egg... More

Just spent 2 night mid week break at the blyth in the southwold suite...lovely large bright airy room, nice jaccuzi tub which caused a few giggles, plenty of space to relax on the large sofas in the room. Richard and the rest of the staff have been giving us a warm welcome since 2010 and the value for money just... More

The blyth hotel is a lovely hotel, we had 5 rooms in all and everyone of them was lovely! They are all decorated beautifully, comfy beds and ours even had a balcony! A short walk into the town which was handy if you want to stay out and have a few beers! We had one diner at the blyth and... More

Didn't stay here as guests but popped in for a couple of beers (and hopefully a meal) after a day of seeing Southwold and doing the Adnams brewery tour. At first we thought it might be closed as there was no one outside (although it had been raining an hour before) and the bar was nigh on empty apart from... More

My family and I occupied 3 rooms for one night in August. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, we had plenty of teas and coffees supplied and large bottles of shampoo and shower gel instead of the usual tiny ones. My son and his partner stayed in the Southwold room which was huge with not one sofa but two... More

We have been staying at the Blyth since 2009 and have always had a delightful time there. The staff are lovely and we always get a really friendly welcome. The hotel is dog friendly and this is in the true sense of the word - a nice bowl of dog treats were left for our dog in the room, which... More

The staff at the Blyth Hotel make it far more than a 2 star establishment. We have just returned from a 2 day break with our dogs and could not fault the warm welcome we were given. Our room was large, very helpful with the dogs, and the shower powerful - two huge bonuses. We were allowed to breakfast with... More

Very good considering it's rated as a 2 star hotel. Helpful friendly staff. Lovely building which is having a face lift at present. Room 3 was spacious and comfortable. Very reasonable considering breakfast was included. Location great for shops and beach
