The Olde Bull in Barton Mills near Newmarket is an absolute delight. Yes, It's being renovated and there are some consequences of that but it is full of ancient charm with a boutique twist - a winning combination. I booked a room as I was visiting friends in the area and it had good road links, just being located off the A11. The hotel is an old coaching Inn which has a bar and restaurant, plus a resident ghost (so I was told!). Yes, on first sight the exterior is definately in need of a little TLC and alot of work, and I'm sure alot of people have driven past along the A11 dismissing it on the appearance alone.
