We stayed one night and our overall impressions were very good. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable, we slept through the night and woke up quite late which is almost unknown for both of us. The breakfast was also very good, I opted for an omlette for a change which I thought might be healthier but... More

A family member had their wedding here, lovely location, lovely food and good staff! The surrounding areas were perfect for taking pictures and looked beautiful on the pictures! Definitely worth looking at for any event!

The hotel itself is ok and reasonably located for the town. Personally we have had the worst sleep in a hotel in our life with partying and loud music going on until 01:30am. The room we had was on the front of the hotel, not too bad until you notice the bedroom windows shaking every time someone goes through the... More

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on business. The rooms were large and well appointed. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was superb. I must recommend the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. The staff were very friendly and efficient and I may even come back here with my girlfriend for a weekend away. The only negatives were... More

Stayed here with my husband and toddler. Family rooms are very spacious and well equipped. The room service was fantastic, menu was great and beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely with good variety for the whole family. Only niggle was parking was an issue as we arrived later in the evening and there was a wedding event at the... More

We had our wedding day here and we were so pleased with all the effort Ged, Maggie and their staff went to, the room looked absolutely stunning. The food was amazing as was the service. both Ged and Maggie make you feel very relaxed and safe in the knowledge that you are going to be looked after. This was actually... More

We stopped off here for a coffee with an elderly relative. We were warmly welcomed and shown through to the lounge where we ordered our decaffeinated cappuccinos and a plate of biscuits. We moved to sit outside on the terrace and coffee arrived punctually with some very nice assorted biscuits. Service was friendly and welcoming and the cloakrooms were outstanding.... More

I arranged a surprise party to celebrate my parents' joint 80th birthdays this last weekend and I was not disappointed with the venue ; although originally there was some confusion as to where they were going to accommodate us for two hours (originally we wanted to be outside but couldn't predict the weather & there was also a wedding reception... From the warm welcome to the cheery goodbye everything about our stay was warm friendly and welcoming. The bedroom was spotless, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom was deceptively spacious and spotlessly clean. The food was beautifully presented and very good portion sizes, and very tasty. All of the staff we met were friendly, warm and seemed very helpful.... More

Stayed for one night on the way to Newmarket Races. I totally disagree with the Pewterjuglady! We found the hotel and staff very inviting and welcoming. The hotel was very nicely decorated throughout with very tasteful furnishings etc. Although we didn't have an evening meal the restaurant catered very well for breakfast. The waitress definitely deserves a mention as she... More
