We arrived after a day's racing at Newmarket at about 9.30pm to a rowdy bar playing load music. I like old places don't get me wrong but this place is dirty and desperately in need of decorating. We went to our room where wallpaper was peeling of pre historic ugly storage heaters, light bulbs out, cobwebs just horrible. I was... More

You can't knock the old fashioned ye olde woldee charm of this place. Traditional features including big fireplaces, wooden beams and wonky floors. But it needs a good de-clutter and upgrading. Bathroom was small but quirky. Our biggest disappointment was the breakfast, the worst full English I have tasted. I piece of dried bacon, desert spoon of beans, soggy hash... More

Family Sunday lunch for 5. Food was excellent, two of us had the lamb shank, two had the pork and one chicken. We were very pleased. Vegetables were delicious and there was ample amount. Puddings were tasty. Service was very good. We felt relaxed and enjoyed the meal. We will certainly go back there. So pleased we discovered this restaurant... More

Just had sunday lunch at this Hotel with my parents and as we approached the main door it looked in need of some updating and love Walked into entrance hall and was greeted by a lady who was very pleasant but the surroundings are very dated and the hotel and restaurant and bar were empty! We were the only reservation... More

It's a bit dated but room was very nice although en suite was very small. The actual bedroom was large though and had nice views Breakfast was good but service a bit slow. Grounds very nice a good place to stay if you want to get away from it all. Would book again if staying in the area. There was... More

I had made a reservation for breakfast for my wife and I for 08:30 this morning. When we arrived at 08:15 there was 1 car in the car park (not promising for a hotel) and then we found the main entrance was locked. We rang the bell several times but no-one answered. We left.

I have eaten here 5 times now and the food is fantastic. Freshly cooked, and steaming hot when it reaches the table. Andy the manager is always cheerful, and goes out of his way to ensure that the dining experience is an enjoyable one. Nothing is too much trouble for him. I've had the lamb shank on two occasions and... More

Stayed for one night - Hotel is stunning- Room very clean - good facilities in room - when we arrived we were shown to our room - no one mentioned anything about breakfast time so we had to ask later- in fact no one said anything - not welcoming at all- But my biggest gripe was breakfast- we arrived in... Worlington Hall Hotel offers so much old English charm. The decor is all in keeping with the great age of this wonderful establishment. Our room had a lovely replica four poster bed. All rooms have names of birds we were in Blackbird room. The low ceilings, exposed beams and period furniture all adds to its charm. The manager Andrew has... More

Everything fine apart from the awful breakfast and lack of staff. Undercooked possibly 'savers' sausages all served with no fried egg.........., how's that for a full English ?. When the egg finally appeared it was also undercooked. Everyone in the restaurant had something not very nice to say about the breakfast. Sitting in the lounge it was noticeable that the... More
