We stayed at the Field End guest house for one night during a short visit to the area while we were on our way down to Kent. The double room was lovely and clean with nice furniture and a cot provided for our baby. There were various books and dvd's on the landing for guests to borrow, a variety of... More

Field End House is a quintessentially British B&B. It is homely and quirky, with decor my grandmother would like, which is in keeping with its Edwardian building. The welcome was warm and friendly and the cooked breakfast was lovely. They don't take credit cards, so make sure you take cash or your cheque book.

Day one Felixstowe to Hull cycle ride. Good location for day one - late start from Felixstowe due to complicated train journey. Excellent room with en-suite comfy bed and all facilities. Walked to the Parrot and Punchbowl for a great pub meal and good real ales. Breakfast was a good example of a full English.

Field end guest house Leiston, a good traditional guest house, all very neat and clean with a comfy room and nice breakfast. The tea tray in the room included biscuits and KitKats and a drinks chiller held bottled water. Mr Woods is a pleasant host. We had very good stay.

We stayed one night in October for a visit to Aldeburgh and Southwold. The guest house is well located for sightseeing in the local area. We had the em suite room which was well equipped and comfortably furnished. There were a variety of drinks in the room and biscuits and chocolates. The bed was very comfy and the room overlooked... Excellent traditional B&B and ideally suited for those that do not want the hussle and buzzle when staying in a guest house. The rooms are superb and herbie the owner has thought of absolutely everything , surprisingly very quiet aswell even though it's on the corner of a main road. So don't let that put you off at all. We... More

A plesant enough stay here, everything you'd expect and a nice freshly cooked breakfast, and a genial host. Bed comfortable, the shower was Ok and nice touches like toothpaste and shower gels. The room was a good size, and the en-suite worked fine. Lots of dust around though! Location not wonderful but that's not their fault!

Booked a room direct over the phone a couple of days before. Quite rightly the proprietor Mr WOOD asked that we contact him with plenty of warning if we decided to cancel!!!! Now this should have been a warning that Credit cards were not accepted as we weren't asked for our card number when we booked as most establishments do.... More
