Arrived at 5pm 15/3 no one there, went back at 6.15 had to call a mobile to get some one there. Once in side ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh... we really should have left, but as we had a dog, and finding some where else would have been to hard at that time of day and a Saturday too. To say this hotel is... More

We booked a night at this hotel as my partner and my son were going sea fishing so me, my daughter in law and my 3 year old grandson went down to felixstowe to do some shopping. We arrived at about 11.30 the hotel did not look like the web site picture. We were told we could not book in... More

My husband and I booked to stay in this Hotel for 1 night 11th November 2013, we took our keys and went up to the room at the top with view of the sea, the room was dirty, wallpaper peeling off the walls, black on walls, the carpet was filthy didn't even get to see the bathroom- we left straightaway... We booked an overnight stay and advised the staff that we would be arriving late on a Friday night due to work in London, we expected to arrive approx 10pm, we were told our keys would be left in an envelope at reception, we were also given 2 telephone numbers if there was any problems, on arrival there was no... I booked to stay at the Waverley for two nights in sept 2013 as on the website the rooms looked clean and the view looked great. On arrival how wrong was I! The hotel is an absolute dump. Worn out, broken down, dirty, and just a totally horrible place to be! My room was absolutely disgraceful. On opening the door... More

I decided to have lunch at an hotel perched on the corner where the ‘cliff top’ and the shops meet. The Waverley Hotel was advertising lunch in its bar area so I decided to give it a try. In rather lackluster surroundings I placed my food and drink order and paid so I could leave once I had finished. 45... More

My son booked my wife and I in at the 'hotel' for four nights from 17th July this year. On our arrival we were told that we had a room with a sea view. The room was the shabbiest that we have ever seen in many years of holidaying in Felixstowe. No plug in the wash hand basin, broken toilet... More

Just horrible, could do with a good spring clean and paint. Rooms in a very poor state of repair, would guess it is pot luck as to the room you get. Bedding was clean, pillars looked new, thank goodness. Only stay here if you are ok roughing it. Staff friendly. Didn't fancy risking breakfast good local cafes near by.

Unfortunately, I have to give at least 1 above to have the rating published. Honestly, on a scale of 1-10 this place would be a negative number. Overall, very grotty almost derelict in need of condemning. They boast a 2 star rating which according to the certificate proudly displayed in the reception lobby, was issued in 2003. Obviously has had... More
