For our night away from home this month we threw a dart at the map and it landed on Felixstowe. We didn't know anything about the town and were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. We stayed at the Castle Lodge which had the added bonus of a big apartment block being built in front of it. We spent... More

I have now stayed here on business twice. Last time was just a week back. Despite the cold damp weather outside it was lovely and toasty inside. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the beds are comfortable, the breakfast (although I don't tend to eat breakfast much) is served at whatever time it is requested and is hot when it arrives.... More

We were there during a windy, rainy time of year, yet we found a warm welcome and a cozy home for our week's stay. The owners are very friendly and the breakfasts are wonderful. The rooms are nicely appointed and the bathroom spacious as well. Everything was clean and comfortable.

Some colleagues and I stayed at this bed and breakfast hotel while we had meetings in Felixstowe. Margaret gave us a lovely cooked breakfast and catered for our needs very well. My room was well furnished and comfortable. The lounge was very pleasant for sitting and chatting. It is very close to the sea. A shame about the view being... More

The hotel was clean and comfortable we had a room over looking the sea (which in the near future will have a 9 storey block of flats in front of what a shame) The breakfast was hot a delicious. Margaret was friendly and gave help in locating the hotel we had book for afternoon tea. A very good stay

Excellent facilities. Well presented bedroom and delicious breakfast served on time. Nice location in the eastern part of the town on the coastline away from the kiss me quick end of the town. Only slight concern over the brusqueness of the proprietor when serving breakfast. I thought she lacked a little patience. Lovely. Would recommend this establishment.

Thank you for your feedback and pleased you enjoyed your stay with us although I was upset to think I appeared brusque at breakfast time. Guests usually say that I'm brisk not brusque! When we are very busy, I do like to get the breakfasts out quickly so guests do not feel that they have been kept waiting and perhaps... More

Stayed here with my mum for a short break and just got home. Mum had room 12 and was really happy with it. She certainly didn't complain about being uncomfortable in bed and as she suffers from arthritis I would have expected her to had she been. I stayed in room 7 and it was lovely and cosy (in a... Building work - and a conspiracy of plumbers meant that we needed to be out of the house for a night ;-) We live 12 miles away - and so we thought "Let's treat ourselves to a nice B&B in Felixstowe". Looked on Trip Advisor - and found this place. Sounded great. How could you, my usually reliable friends? Maybe... More

Thank you so much for your feedback which after being in the business for 26 years we take very seriously. We were pleased that you enjoyed the breakfast and that we were able to accommodate your special dietary needs. Breakfast times have always been flexible as we have experienced over the years that business guests require earlier breakfasts than guests... More

Castle Lodge is clean and well kept. Margaret, the landlady, is friendly and helpful. Lovely room, clean and comfortable. Bathroom quite small and a bit dark, water pressure in the shower was low. Cooked breakfast was just about adequate. A short walk to the High Street and the sea front.
