Had a lovely 2 day break last week. We booked a discounted package which included a 'best' room. Initially surprised to be in the stable block not the main building, however it was absolutely fine. The location is excellent and the rooms were comfortable, although you might be in the stables rather than the main pub. Nevertheless the rooms were clean, tidy and warm. Friendly staff, substantial breakfast and excellent evening meal--lamb for me and pork belly for my wife- and good beer. What more could one ask for. The room was somewhat small but comfortable and clean. A good centre for Southwold and Aldeburgh.

We had been recommended to this inn for a meal but were a bit dissapointed with the food. the food was good but not very inspired. The beer selection was good and the Adnams was in good condition and very drinkable. The staff were very helpful. We did not experience the rooms so offer no view.

We stayed for two wonderful nights in a cosy warm and comfortable room with views to open marshland.The food was wonderful and the sticky toffee pudding was unbelievable.it is dog friendly and it was very clean throughout.
