Wonderful Sunday roasts of beef and pork, cooked to perfection, on alternating weekends. Great food, beer, pooch friendly, a proper country pub - what's not to like!? Will revisit Paul and Claire and their team regularly.

The current owners have come from the Earl Soham Victoria and for any people who know The Vic will know what a great landlord and team they made. The Bell is tucked out of the way but well worth a visit. Good range of tasty food and range of beers along with friendly warm staff. Glad to see that this... More

We had an evening meal here, and my husband was very pleased with his sausage dish, but my steak was good in the centre but burnt on the edges. Chips arrived 10 mins after the rest of the meal, but the mushroom, and peas were superb! We didn't order a pudding but we did sit for 25 mins in the... More

As with a previous reviewer I was with a walking group and enjoyed an excellent lunch - both the quality and choice of food was very good and prices were very reasonable. Also all aspects of service were also excellent. The food was served promptly; also any request was no problem for the staff. Certainly the reserving of tables for... More

Thank you Claire for organizing an excellent lunch for our walking group. Everyone was so pleased with the food and such friendly service. Wish all pubs were this good! Thank you from all of us. If we have another walk in this area we'll definitely come back.

We have eaten several times at The Bell since it got taken over a couple of months ago by the new landlords Paul and Clare. They have restored this pub to its former glory both in terms of ambience, food and beer. Fabulous food choices with Specials menu changing twice a day. Great value for money and industry experienced professionals... More

Sunday roasts here are always exceptional, well worth taking the trouble to find this pub. Roast beef, yorkshire pud and gravy are all very good. Good old fashioned home-cooked food. And lovely to have the veg separate. Good atmosphere, ambience, cosy sofa's, wood fires, friendly hosts. We would highly recommend a visit.

We have just spent a great weekend at the Cretingham Bell which had atmospheric character in comfortable surroundings. Our host Charles and Sarah were a pleasure to be with and made the weekend fun. The food Charles served was exceptional and great value. My aunt who is celiac and can only eat gluten free food found that Charles could adapt... More

We were tootling around today, from Ipswich heading towards Framlingham on back roads, and we came across The Cretingham Bell. What a happy accident. The pub looked lovely, a big lawn at the front with just a few benches and tables; lots of space between, and a huge car park. It looked so lovely in the sunshine that we stopped... More
