(To me that was a good sign ) the 4 of us ordered food and as usual we mostly had different items . Everything was brilliant , the staff friendly and helpful ,... More

Driven past this pub many times and this was our first visit, at rear of pub some stunning views and very nice beer garden. All looks much better than the road view suggests. Had minestrone soup which was ok but it was like having a few bits of vegetable and pasta thrown into a soup at the last minute, the... More

We had planned to eat in southwold, but due to the traffic congestion and lack of parking, we decided to leave and look for another place to go for lunch. We just joined the A12 and came across this place and we were really glad we did. Set in a lovely location next to the river, it has a nice... More

Arrived at 3.40pm very hungry and looking forward to a late lunch. Lady that greeted us and took drinks order was nice, we then asked a chap about a menu and he just pointed and said 'end of bar' - no reference to the special board at all. We placed our order, 2 x Hunters chicken at 12 pound each,... More

Under new ownership, this pub is flourishing. Helpful staff, busy restaurant, good atmoshphere. Our group popped in twice at various points during the day it was so good ! Selection of food from Blythburgh smokehouse. Outside tables overlooking the Blyth at the back. Ample parking. Nice atmosphere. Good beers. Great location.

Me and my family popped in for lunch with our dog. As we sat outside it started to rain a lot. After a few minutes a member of staff beckoned to us to come and eat in the bar area, which we gratefully did. Everyone was just so nice & it made the day! Thank you all. (Food was good... More

This was a surprise birthday dinner booked by Sticky. Luckily she relied upon TripAdvisor for recommendations. I have to say it was a wonderful experience not only for the fantastic food but the staff were excellent. The service was excellent and we never felt rushed throughout the evening. Sticky had booked a lovely table looking out over the river Blyth.... More
