I feel my review title is appropriate. We've just returned from this dump. Didn't suffer in the same way as Samantha T but had to swap light bulbs around. For a start they'd mucked up the booking date. After admitting their fault we received new 'booking in' e-mail with key codes. We arrived at 3-15pm and texted our car number... More

My husband and I booked the Abbey for a night as we were at a birthday Party so we knew we did not book a 5 star but by God I can only describe this place as a real Nightmare. The pillow cases had other peoples hair on it the bed was stinking so I doubt the bedding had been... More

Stayed here overnight for NYE as a cheaper option than a taxi home. Having stayed here before we knew it was basic no frills accommodation, but as we only wanted somewhere to sleep for a few hours until we could get a life home the next day we didn't mind. although quite dark the hallways appeared clean. It could do... More

No hot water, no heating except for a tiny electric heater in room which was totally ineffective! Carpet heavily soiled and dusty and had mysterious bites all over me the next day. The bathroom, which was upstairs had a tiny amount of toilet roll left over and no shower, just a bath but as there was no hot water, it... More

Have just arrived and left for another hotel within half of being here i am far from a snob and didn't expect the ritz for the price paid but certain standards have to be met. The room was filthy, stains all over the walls deD flys and spiders over the bed, lipstick stained toilet roll and a broken window rang... More

It's was quite simply disgusting. The room was utterly filthy and didn't have hot water. Alarm bells started to ring when I received the confirmation email detailing the complaints procedure at length. Despite the fact they did clean the room fatter out complaint they refused to accept the fact the water wasn't hot and didn't process a refund. Don't book... More

I normally take bad reviews with a pinch of salt as one person may have a grudge - but this is a truly disgusting place. I can confirm other comments - it really is dirty (not just dust) both in the bedroom and the bathrooms, the carpets are stained, lights do not work, kettles are on the floor, plug sockets... More

I booked this hotel on Saturday past. I entered the front hallway to be met with air so dirty I could barely breathe. The carpets were absolutely stinking. I got into the room and the bedding was plastered in mascara and "other stuff" from the previous occupant. The plug sockets were cello taped together.........highly dangerous. The bathroom was a shambles... More
