Ann and Peter - we were on first name terms from the time we arrived - were very welcoming and always seemed to be around if we wanted to ask them something. The rooms were spotless with everything you could need. Breakfast was very generous - the sort that you didn't really need to eat anything else until dinner! The... more

Olivedale is rated by Enjoy England as a four star B&B and it has a Silver award. My wife and I stayed there in June and we were really pleased with our stay. The welcome from Peter and Ann was first class; we taken to our room by Peter who helped carry our things upstairs and even put the hanging... more

We travelled all around the coast of Norfolk and found that this B&B was outstanding. Peter and Ann looked after us in every way. Our room had everything we needed, right down to a bottle of water at the bedside. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom had large towels and little extras like shower gel and shampoo. I... more

Arriving during the 'Great Snow Storm of 2009' meant we were made extra welcome as all other guests had cancelled! The location is fantastic as long as you don't need a sea view - having stayed on the front in Sheringham I can vouch for the fact it can be a bit noisy at night. Olivedale is in a side... more

I have just returned from visiting my Mother in Norfolk, England. One of our trips was a week in Sheringham. I decided to stay at the Olivedale Guest House after reading excellent reviews in Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. The Olivedale is situated near the shops and sea front. The owners Peter and Ann are perfect hosts. The twin bed... more

We were in the Sage Room - located on the second floor at the front of the hotel. It was pleasantly furnished - the decor making it feel fresh and crisp - a good size and spotlessly clean. The beds were on the soft side for us but we both slept very well. Duvets were man made. The bathroom was... more

We only stayed at the Olivedale for one night but it was a lovely experience and we were made to feel really welcome. Our room was spottlessly clean with tea/coffee facilities, en-suite & tv. The hotel is in an ideal position for both the quaint high street and the beach. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of cereals and... more

Lovely little B&B - five minutes from the train station, five minutes from the seafront & some private car parking space round the back. I had the Lavender Room. Warm, safe, quiet. Small-ish bathroom (Not en-suite, but complimentary bathrobes provided). Tea & Coffee making facilities, bottled water, TV (with four terrestrial channels). Comprehensive selection of local info. Full English breakfast,... more

Very helpful owners with lots of useful local information. Comfortable and well appointed room. We tried both the traditional cooked breakfast which was very good in both quality and quantity and the "special", which was Thai style smoked haddock fishcakes that day. We hope to return as Olivedale is a good place to stay and Sheringham is a very pleasant... more
