We went for an afternoon tea treat recently and although enjoyed a very pleasant hour and a half just one ot two little touches would have lifted the whole experience. It would have been nice to have linen napkins and some fresh bread. The sandwiches had very tasty fillings but the bread was dry and stale, freshly made sandwiches would... More

Had an amazing time here , it's just like stepping back in time . Privately run hotel with top class standards ...the room we stayed in had a huge four poster bed and a bathroom to die for .. The food was top notch as well and the awards they have won for their breakfasts are very well deserved ...

This hotel is just about perfect. The room I stayed in was excellent. It was very clean, had a luxury feel to it, a massive four poster bed, seating area, free wifi and tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom was enormous with fluffy towels, a roll top bath, one of the best power showers ever and gorgeous Molton Brown... More

This was a last minute booking ie. The day before travelling, as I was working in north walsham and needed somewhere to stay, this hotel was the closest to where I was working and although the decor (from the pictures) was not my normal taste, it was within my company budget so I booked here and arrived and wow... I... More

Just returned from a relaxing one night stay at The Beechwood Hotel. As the title suggests we had wonderful, friendly service from all the hotel staff. A lovely four poster garden access room with Mae Wester slipper bath and separate shower. A truly delightful dinner with excellent service and a very tasty (probably the best bacon ever\) breakfast. This is... More

We stayed for a 3 day New Year break package. The hotel owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. The head chef Steve prepared some fantastic menus and the food standard is something we would have expected in a 5 * hotel. We had a 'classic' double room which had all you would expect including a free standing bath... More

I think this was our tenth New Year at Beechwood - and we've paid many, many mid-year visits. The experience remains unparalleled in our (vast) experience, and this despite a recent change of hotel ownership. Everything first-rate, as always: food, accommodation and service.

We booked a classic double room with breakfast at £130. The room was gorgeous with a huge sumptuous bed and cosy leather furniture. A good sized flat screen TV and coffee making facilities. The bathroom was equally pleasing and the whole room was perfectly clean. We didn't get to sample the restaurant but breakfast was well presented by polite staff.... More

I was one of 37 Members who enjoyed a Xmas Lunch at the Beechwood Hotel last Thursday. I had previously had lunch there, after the new owners had taken over, a few months back and been slightly disappointed but on this occasion I was well pleased. The Scottish smoked salmon starter, Roast Norfolk Turkey main course and Chocolate marquise dessert... More
