We stayed for a couple of nights mid November. The room, in the garden wing, was spacious and nicely furnished - we even had " tile T.V. " at the foot of the large spa bath. As described previously the meal is a set affair with choice coming into play at dessert. By only having a small sample of dishes,... more

We had a celebbratory dinner and, having eaten in most of the restaurants and pubs in the area, it was an experience to dine at Morston Hall. Thiey offer a no choice ( you can ask beforehand, if you can't eat something, for an alternative) 5 course nouvelle cuisine- or whatever is the current name for that. Imaginative, delicious, memorable... more

Travelled for our 25th Wedding Anniversary, which coincided with my Wife's parents' 53rd. Two nights and two evening meals. The accommodation (in the new block) was first class. TV in the bathroom: I've been around a bit, but that was a first! The food was stunning, although perhaps a little confusing for some. The poor political commentator from ITV sitting... more

We spent two blissful nghts at Morston Hall, and enjoyed every minute of it. The hotel is luxurious without being over-the-top, and feels warm and welcoming from the moment you walk through the door. We stayed in "Felbrigg", and had a big double room with small lobby, and good-sized bathroom. There was a small west-facing balcony with chairs, although the... more

We have eaten frequently at MH and continue greatly to enjoy Galton Blackiston's inventive and tasty set fixed menuus (always prepared to change things you can't eat). The addition of the "orangery" (best place to eat) adds a further touch of class. Service is always friendly and excellent. This time we stayed at MH - in one of the new,... more

We stayed in the pavilion room, Thrift, which was spacious and well designed. It has a small patio which overlooks the car park - if I went again, I would ask for one of the rooms on the other side. The real reason we came to stay was for the food and we thoroughly enjoyed the delicious meal we ate... more

I recently stayed at Morston Hall for 1 night to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. We stayed in a garden room (an extra £10 pp). They are huge, large bed, plasma TV etc, bathrooms also very nice with plasma TV's in the walls. Rooms are on a par with top class/5 star hotels I have previously stayed in. Check in... more

Huge rooms, friendly staff and amazing restaurant. Unlike other Michellin stared restaurants that we have visited the wine list was not bordering on the ridiculous, and offered good choice at reasonable prices. The wine of the month at £25.00 per bottle was fantastic Although Galton was not in the kitchen the meal was well up to standard and the young... more

As visitors from America, we are so happy that our English friends brought us here--good friends indeed! We found the hotel to be excellent in every way. Our room, the Fellbrigg, looked out upon the gardens and was large, beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The bathroom was marvelous, with every amenity, including a flat screen TV. What a pleasure it... more
