I went there twice in June once for Sunday lunch and again for dinner three weeks later. Both times the food was very good and the wine list interesting with good wines. This has a michelin star and the food was up to that level, some of the service fell short of that level though.

We visited with our teenager trying to expand her palate beyond the pot noodle and this restaurant doesn't disappoint. Every course was absolutely delicious. Tastes and textures perfectly balanced with great presentation. Service was friendly and discreet. Our teenager happily finished every course bar one courgette. Job done. Highly recommend!

Our second stay - if anything, better than the last time. Our room (although smallish and with a wonky floor) was clean, comfortable and very generously stocked. We had the tasting menu which overall was very good with at least 2 stand out dishes (the "tea" and the ceviche). Having eaten at the excellent Hand & Flowers 2 nights earlier... More

We enjoyed a pleasant meal at the Neptune recently. The hosts were very nice and the food beautifully presented. The food was nice but we felt there was no "wow factor" so far as the starter or main courses were concerned, which was a little disappointing given our high expectations based on reviews. Indeed, so far as mains were concerned... More

We wanted to stay somewhere on the North Norfolk coast with our friend from Australia. So pleased we picked this place. We were in room 4 which is not large, but has a big, soft, comfy bed. Smallish en suite with just a shower, no bath, but good water pressure. Nice amenities and tea/coffee etc. Our friend had room 5... More

My husband and I visit the Neptune Inn at least once a year. With our busy work load we need a place to unwind with good food, ambience and to feel welcome. The Neptune Inn offers all of this and more. Jacki and Kevin, work very hard to make your stay an enjoyable one. The food is fabulous, locally sourced... More

My girlfriend took me here as a surprise for my birthday, we stayed for 1 night in the accommodation and dined in the restaurant. The rooms are lovely, decorated with clean whites and finished with classy touches throughout, the hotel on a whole is lovely and quiet and the bed is one of the comfiest I have slept in. The... Superb food perfectly cooked and presented. Jacki and Kevin are excellent hosts, explained everything and more than happy to tweak the menu to suit. Small intimate restaurant and certainly not pretentious. We opted for the taster menu which was about eight small courses. All very tasty and although small portions given they are tasters you are certainly full at the... More

I have got to say last night I had one of the best meals I have had anywhere in the world! The food was incredible, delicious and so beautifully presented. The atmosphere was great and totally unpretentious which makes a refreshing change for a Michelin starred restaurant. The service was attentive without being intrusive. The decor, flowers, glass ware etc... More

I took my wife for a meal and a night stay for her birthday at the Neptune last weekend and we both really enjoyed it. The room and bathroom were very clean and tastefully decorated, with a huge bed, a good selection of tea and a great Nespresso machine. There was also a small flask of fresh milk which was... More
