Visited the Neptune with my wife for my birthday. Having visited Morston Hall a few times which is also. Michelin starred restaurant we expected similar quality but sadly this was not to be. The whole experience was disappointing from the nibbles with the champagne right through to getting the bill. Presentation of the food was very good but the food... More

Kevin and Jacky made us feel so welcome. The menu was excellent and with my food intolerances, Kevin had already sorted out what I could and couldn't eat from the menu and made alternatives. The best bed and pillows in all of north Norfolk! Very small and intimate, friendly and not pretentious in any way for a one Michelin star... More

Me and my wife visited The Neptune Inn after being told how good it was by friends. We weren't disappointed. The food is exceptional and I struggle to find fault with anything. The restaurant is small with a max capacity of 24. The result is an intimate and relaxed experience. We where sat in the bay window when we arrived,... More

This was our first visit to celebrate my husband's special birthday treat whilst on holiday in Norfolk. We were made to feel welcomed by both Jackie and Kevin. They went out of their way to spend time with us which made the whole expereince very intimate. The food was outstanding and we look foward to our next visit when we... More

It isn't often we return to a place more than once as we always think that if you have a great time the first time, you can never repeat that experience. Not so with the Neptune Inn. We have visited three times now, winter and summer, and have never been disappointed. Jacki and Kevin, the owners, welcome their guests as... More

I can't praise the Neptune enough. The rooms were delightful and the homemade biscuits a lovely touch. We had the tasting menu for dinner and the only trouble we had was deciding which course we liked the most. Outstanding variety and tastes. As we stayed the night we also had a cooked breakfast in the morning which was also fantastic.... More

Wow! what a great place and great owners. Kevin is a great cook and his wife is very helpful and fun. We stayed there for one night and the room was spotless. I loved the coffee machine and the great selection of teas. All very high quality. And we stayed there for dinner... order the menu with the accompanying wines...... More

An excellent meal, lovely setting and ambiance with charming hosts. The Neptune really met our (high) expectations, from the aperitifs, the delicious pre-starter, excellent food throughout, lovely fires, even the timing of the meal was perfectly paced. Only little moan is that I'd prefer a bath in our room but the room/dinner rate is very reasonable compared to competitors so... More

My partner and I had booked a table for our anniversary, we have eaten at the Neptune on many occasions before and this was just as good as the times before. We decided this time to opt for the tasting menu as we had never tried this. The menu consisted of eight courses all blending from one to the next... More

Visited the Neptune for lunch today and was impressed, a quaint intimate restaurant with cosy open fires and friendly hosts. The food was enjoyable I had the skate to start and the roast beef and my partner had the chicken terrine and the Hare. My fish was beautiful and the beef pink and tender just how i like it, i...
