Luckly we did'nt stay at this hotel but we did have our works christmas party there.23.50 each. Food was dreadful a buffet with hardly anything on it, not one bit of table decoration, not one cracker, two awful comidiens and no disco as advertised. Staff with faces like sour lemons, not a very nice experiance at all. Avoid at all... more

My mother and I were greeted warmly and shown to our clean, warm well equipped twin room. The evening meals where hot and well presented, the breakfast nicely cooked. We found all the staff polite and helpful more

I didn't find this place as bad as some others, but it's no gem. The accomodation was adequate for me as a single traveller, but the 'double bed' they had was only a 3/4 and would have made for a very intimate night with a companion. I went out for the night and there are better places to eat (I... more

Arrived at hotel. I was shocked. On the front doors were attached cigarette bins and these were overflowing and they had been there for years. It was raining heavily and the sodden butts went all over my hands. Awful smell in reception, Got to our family room, I could have cried. It was dirty. I picked hotel after reading other... more

Stayed here one night. Pleasantly surprised by quality of room (and power shower). public areas are completely devoid of character - had to pass through 'office' with filing cabinets on way to room. Food ok, nothing special. Pay £65 inc breakfast and I guess one gets £65 worth of hotel!! more

This hotel is... a mass of contradictions. It was really quite expensive for a 2 star hotel... but let me elaborate on the detail. I'll start with breakfast as an example. I was greeted with a dining room used as a store for bicycles, children's playthings and meeting room chairs and a minimal Youth Hostel style buffet of Tupperwared Orange... more

Hi We stayed at the Wensum Lodge hotel last weekend for a wedding. It was an awful experience. The hotel was dirty and dark. Our bedrooms were not cleaned or beds made or changed for the full 3 days that we were there. On the morning of our last day I had a glass of orange juice at breakfast which... more

Arrived at 1600 hrs. Reception in bar which was full of Football supporters drinking cheap promotional beer. Got to our room. No windows! Changed room, window overlooking Back yard. Checked menu. Typical cheap pub, Scampi, beefburgers all with chips. Bar did not even stock Malt Wiskey. Found a good restuarant out of Fakenham, eventually. Supposed to be a romantic break... more

Very disappointed with this three day stay. we have stayed several times before. The food was not up to the usual standard we have had there in the past and the whole place was a bit shabby although our room No 1 was tidy and warm. The last straw was members of staff coming in from a night out at... more
