Recent visit during half term. We were staying in Acle and needed somewhere for dinner so walked up to the pub. We arrived a littke early to eat so enjoyed a pint before our dinner. Once it started to get busier we ordered our mel. There was a good range of choice on the menu at very reasonable pub prices.... More

I can't comment on the standard of the food or drink as the barman completely ignored myself and my husband last week when we tried to place an order (we were the only people standing waiting at the bar). We were not acknowledged in any way then two women walked in, were acknowledged by someone at the other side of... More

We stayed as a group of 6 for a nearby wedding... I didn't book the rooms. Myself and my husband stayed in room 3 and it was just awful! The carpet was terribly stained all over and carpet in the bathroom.... Around the toilet??! How the hell can that by kept clean and hygienic?! The bath plug hole was full... More

Went down to watch the Man Utd vs Norwich game and the public bar was mobbed......but this was because at the same time there was a large group playing a darts tournament and others wanting to play snooker. Nothing against the other sports but if you advertise Sky in order to get folks in then you need to have the... More

We returned for the 4th Year running as a group of friends who meet up for a meal,& found the pub meal not as good as we remembered. The main meal its self was OK but nothing special unlike other years. But when it came to pudding it was very disappointing, £4.95 for a cheese cake than looked and tasted like... More

We first came here two years ago and had a great meal. Two years on and the quality is still the same - excellent home cooked food, good prices and a warm and friendly reception. We were staying at the Travelodge and it's a five minute walk. Family friendly too.

Myself and my wife have just had a weekend away in Acle staying at the Travelodge, whilst there we took a walk into Acle village and stumbled across the Kings Head Inn,which is only situated about 1/4 mile away from the lodge itself,we found the staff there to be very friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere was what you'd expect in a local... We were staying the night at the Travelodge in Acle & this pub/restaurant was recommended by the Receptionist. It was just 5 mins walk down the road which was ok with us because we had two very young children with us. Outside, I must admit, this Pub looked a little unloved, but we went inside to have look. We found... More
