Stayed at Redworth Hall for a family wedding. The venue is most impressive - the grounds looked stunning in the snow, the hall was very impressive and the bedrooms comfortable. All areas seemed well-kept and clean. The food at the wedding was lovely, and the breakfast was sufficient (I wanted mushrooms on my English breakfast!) Can't comment on the previous... more

Initial impressions on arrival were good- large and imposing building, reception OK and room good. There are a lot of good reviews for this hotel and the food, however, be warned, the food served at the Murder Mystery evening on our Christmas staff night out was appalling and having spoken to a number of friends following our visit, it seems... more

My husband and I stayed at the hotel for a number of days earlier this month. The service experienced from all staff from check-in to check-out was very good with all staff very friendly, professional and helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean with hotel location and grounds very impressive. We did not use many of the facilities but... more

Booked a 2night with 1 free dinner break. When we arrived we found our double room was in fact a twin room. A quick call down to reception and we were quickly upgraded to a room in the new building with a jacuzzi and power shower. The room was lovely and comfortable. We used the gym and swimming pool on... more

We only live an hour away but stayed here for a get away, cost was ok and the food was really very good and staff seemed ok. Our dispointment was that the hotel is showing its age, carpets are well worn away and in places taped down with ugly gaffer tape. When we stayed they were painting but it was... more

Booked a three night stay at this hotel and booked through website so very happy with the rate or this could have been a very different review as website almost half the price quoted by the hotel directly. Reception do try to add extras on however!!! POSITIVES - the building and grounds are stunning and for us with family in... more

I booked a night at Redworth hall for myself and two children as a treat for them. I looked at a few hotels and this one semed to offer quite a reasonable deal through the Barcelo booking site. I put in one adult and two children and i was offered a price for room only, room and breakfast, and room... more

I had this hotel booked for me by an agency in response to my request for something near Darlington Station and the place I had business in a another part of Darlington town. Expotel please note - it is about eight miles and a £15 taxi ride from both! However, it is an imposing place set in beautiful parkland and... more

Attention to detail let this one down a bit. At check in receptionist was not that friendly. First appearances room was very nice although a couple of the fancy bathroom fittings were broken, dont think the hi-tech bath and shower were robust enough. Had to get maintenance to come and fix bath plug. Maintenance man and late maid that attended... more

When I arrived , I noticed the very grand entrance and the nice grounds. The hotel has also great breakfast. The staff is really nice although somtimes slow. Worth visiting the railway museum nearby. I stayed in one of the rooms with garden. A very nice room. It is worth driving a litle around the area and do ask the... more
