We received a very warm welcome upon arrival and were shown to our room which was in the newly converted Kings Barn which has been finished to a lovely standard. The bathroom had a lovely deep bath with shower and the bedroom was huge with a super-king sized bed. It had a really country style to it which was lovely.... More

My husband surprised My Mother & I with a two night stay B&B & pamper package at a nearby spa for Christmas. So unable to comment on the price but I can tell what ever it cost, so well worth every penny. From the moment we arrived and parked with ease in the large car park, we found the attentiveness... The girlfriend and myself stayed here last weekend (bit of a late review) as a surprise anniversary present for her, and it was an amazing stay. The owners were great, the pub was really nice, the staff were great and the room was really nice. Its really convenient for visiting the towns nearby (we went to Windermere). We enjoyed our... I booked this deal as a surprise for hubbys birthday via Living Social and got a 2 night break for £80 which was a complete bargain for 2 of us on a B&B basis. We stayed in the newly converted barn at the rear of the pub, very nice, clean and fairly spacious room compared to some hotels I have... More

Called here for lunch yesterday after a lovely walk through Lancashire countryside and several very pretty villages. We got a warm welcome from the lovely young lady at the bar! We settled in and ordered our drinks, glasses of Running Duck Shiraz, (for our meal) and coffee and ale for while we waited for our food, all in good form... More

I have eaten in the King's Arms several times now. The first time was very good - no complaints; however, the last couple of times have been pretty disappointing. As with our first visit, the food was very good, but the service has been poor with us waiting nearly an hour between ordering and having the food served. I do... More

Stayed in the new extension with my wife and child. Very clean, modern with a huge bed. The staff were exceptionally pleasant. Great beer and lovely food and proper portions. We also left a baby toy which they posted with a note saying 'I'm sure he's been missed.' They also provided a travel cot which made staying really easy.

Really interested in staying at this place, but have heard that the central heating was not on soon enough for early risers (say 6.45am) and afternoons were a bit chilly too . Unfortunate if your visit is Nov/Dec. Seems like every other aspect was really good. Shame that is the only negative, but enough to lose business.

The Kings Arms is a very popular eatery, which is not surprising since it serves very decent pub grub at reasonable prices, backed up by a good range of real ales and a selection of wines by the glass, including prosecco. There is a good sized, comfortable dining area. Wheelchair access through the front door was easy. The landlord was... More
