We booked a deal at The Kings Arms and were not disappointed. The twin room was in the newly done out barn, clean, well furnished with comfortable beds. The breakfast was lovely, just order what you want rather than a menu was fine by us. The staff are welcoming, friendly and efficient. Burton In Kendal is a sleepy village but... More

We have just spent two nights at the Kings Arms in the upstairs pub accommodation the room itself was clean enough but the ensuite in room 4 needs a thorough clean to get rid of the black mildew which was all over the tiles and generally grubby along with the extractor which was clogged up with dirt and useless. Food... More

Stayed overnight on the way from Somerset to Glasgow. We got a living social deal so we wondered about the quality of the accommodation. We were in the barn Wainright room. We were greeted by a large modern, beautifully decorated room that was spotless. There was a king sized bed that was very comfortable. The bathroom was large , modern... More

This is a great place to stay either for one night or for a longer stay to explore the area. The rooms are clean and well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. There isn't much to do in the village, no pubs or restaurants but that doesn't matter as the food in the Kings Arms is top class for... More

Stayed here for two nights using a living social voucher and it was a really peaceful getaway. New barn rooms are gorgeous...only one issue is the rooms get pretty hot so a fan would be good. Food in the pub was gorgeous, we had burger and salmon special on 1st night and cod special and steak on the 2nd. Honeycomb... More

We booked The Kings Arms through a Living Social deal and were not disappointed. We stayed in the new barn conversion, lovely décor, everything you could need for a 2 night stay. The pub had a great atmosphere, good food with plenty to choose from. Full English breakfast excellent way to start the day! Also, a special mention to the... More

A dog-friendly pub/hotel, service with a smile and comfortable rooms. We had an excellent dinner - one of the best sausages and mash I've ever had with perfectly cooked vegetables - and my husband's burger was also very good. Breakfast was not quite up the same standard but enjoyable all the same. As it's just off the M6 (but in... More

Booked thro booking.com & wasn't expecting much for the price. The accommodation was brilliant, large king size bed, immaculate decor, every comfort. Decent size bathroom with shower, tea& coffee etc. breakfast was included, fruit juices, cereals, choice of yogurts and WOW! The full English, tea, coffee top ups. Great base for touring around. Decent beers and reasonably priced. Would fully... More

Had a really lovely lunch here a couple of weeks ago. Great location and easy to find. Menu was varied but not overly so. Food was lovely and fresh and staff were really welcoming and friendly. What a little gem. Would definitely recommend this for a meal.

We had a lovely stay with our 10 month son in the barn conversion. 2 nights in June. Could have easily stayed longer. Handy for busy days everywhere on west coast be it mountains, lakes, cities or seaside. And quiet nights with the family. Food was lovely. Staff were great. My main worry was the cot beds and room set... More
