I run a busy scuba school and we often come over to use Capernwray which is near by. I searched for ages to find a suitable B&B and luckily we found the Kings Arms! It is without doubt the best B&B that we have ever stayed at (and we have stayed at a few) Neil and Anne make this place... More

Very friendly village pub with excellent freshly cooked food for dinner and breakfast! The staff were very friendly and Neil couldn't do enough to make our stay a memorable experience for the right reasons. We will definately return.

Stopped for a meal on our way to the airport. Much more civilised than motorway pit stops. Service was quick and pleasant, very busy for a Tuesday early evening. Food was good, hot and tasty. Good value for money. Second time we have eaten here. Will pay a return visit.

I stayed here whilst on a course and have been made very welcome. Friendly service, cracking food on an evening and spoilt for choice at breakfast (have the Bacon sandwich!!!). If I'm down this way again then there's no doubt I'll be staying here.

we went to the Kings arms in April when some friends came to stay from Scotland. The Ladies picked from the lite bite choices, and the men had the regular menu. My cheeseburger and chips was very generous and delicious and my friend said her scampi was cooked really well, she was happy as there was plenty of scampi, and... More

A more welcoming pub you will struggle to find. Anne and Neil are the perfect hosts who cannot do enough for their guests. The food is out of this world, I think I put half a stone on just looking at it! The menu is varied to suit all tastes, sizes of meals vary to suit all waist measurements and... More

Stayed with several friends at this very comfortable hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean, with tea and coffee making facilities. We had a room on the top floor at the front, and left the window open all night, traffic seemed virtually non existant meaning we had two good night sleep. Ideally placed for Kendal and the lake district, I... More

We were recommended this pub as a good place to eat and the recommendation proved right. It was busy but service was great and there was the standard menu and the usual specials board which had some great options as it was Friday fish night. Altogether very satisfying, good atmosphere, good food and excellent service. Highly recommended.

My parents have lived in the village all their life, though seldom visit the only pub. We dragged them out for a meal and they really enjoyed it. Plus side for us was not only a great meal bug the beer is kept very well so had to try quite a few just to make sure it was as good... More
