What a fab stay me and my partner had when staying here. The room was very pretty and a good size. The bathroom was clean and the shower was a nice temperature. The best part was the pub underneath it though! Great atmosphere and the owner was a lovely man who really made us feel welcome. Breakfast is fantastic as... More

Me and my husband stayed here with our two dogs in March 2013 for 2 nights and had a lovely time, food in the restaurant was fabulous, breakfast was excellent too. Staff were very friendly and the pub was very clean, cosy and nice to be in. The room was spacious although it was very cold (top floor family room)... More

Stayed at the Kings arms as a stop of point on a long journey. The couple who run the pub and hotel are lovely and nothing was a problem. The room was comfy, clean and spacious. We decided to dine downstairs in the bar area though there was a restraunt area set up. The food and service was top notch... More

Visited last night and couldn't have been made more welcome. Had beer battered cod and gammon. The best fish and chips I have had in a pub and my husband's gammon was excellent. The pub was very warm with a wood burning stove going all evening. We will definitely visit again when next in the area - a good find.

We have been here a few times before and the food was always good so we decided to book for xmas eve. I have to say that the food was very poor; The pate starters were ok but the mains were very poor. I had the tuna steak on a bed of bean shoots which was over cooked and very... More

We are very sorry we did not live up to your expectations on Christmas Eve, it is a shame you weren't able to enjoy the atmosphere later when we had some fantastic music and unexpected salsa dancing display! What a shame you did not speak to Neil at the time as he would have been able to apologise and make... More

Visited the Kings Arms twice for a meal whilst staying at Pine lakes resort. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was faultless. Our first night was a Monday where the offer was a steak and a drink for £15. I had fish and chips which was very tasty and my partner had the steak which he... More

This was our 3rd visit to the Kings Arms. Conveniently positioned off the M6 between j35 and j36 it is an ideal stopping off point on our frequent trips from Scotland to London. Always a great welcome from mine host Neil. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed for a pub,not huge but big enough. The only downside if you... More

We both had the burgers with chips and garnish these tasted amazing and the chips where obviously freshly fried £9.95 each. My wife followed with Lemon meringue and cream and I had... More

Have eaten here previously but never stayed. Service & food very good - large breakfast cooked to order but a bit disappointed with the room. It was small as was the bathroom although both were very clean & had adequate sundries. Very friendly landlord.

We arrived very wet & the greeting was lovely. The bedrooms were very clean with some lovely touches, including thick bath sheets. The heating was put on to dry our walking gear with boot trays for the boots. Dinner & breakfast was wonderful, with happy, helpful smiling staff who made us feel at home. The fresh food and eggs were... More
