We needed a dog friendly hotel near Biggleswade and this fit the bill. On checking in I was a little unsure as the entrance and reception looked a little shabby but we were greeted warmly and the staff made a big fuss of the dog. We asked for a room on the ground floor to make it easier with the... More

Our whole experience at the Stratton was excellent! As a family we had three rooms between us, each one was cleaned to a very high standard, the beds were comfortable and the en suite's suited our need, We had a kettle, tea and decaf coffee (no hot chocolate which would have been nice); free WiFi; working TVs - there was... We stayed two nights at the Stratton House Hotel for a friend's wedding in a nearby village. The staff were excellent and accommodating in every way. They were considerate, thoughtful and went out of their way to help us and the other guests will issues and requests. One of our friends flew over from afar and the airline had lost... More

Having read previous reviews, I booked a double for single occupacy as I like room to stretch out both in and out of bed. The room - and every other part of the hotel I went into - was fairly recently refurbished, unmarked and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable with extra pillows in the wardrobe. All you need... More

I've stayed here a couple of times on business and the staff are excellent. The breakfast is also well worth a mention because it's freshly cooked and very good quality. However, some of the rooms are a bit dated and some are very nice. Make sure you ask for a modern room, otherwise you will end up in a room... More

Came here for dinner on probably one of the hottest, and busiest Saturday nights. Our first visit to the Stratton House. On arrival, our concern was a beer festival tent in the grounds and the Bar packed, six deep. How could they cope with such numbers and would the food be as good as we had hoped. It was excellent,... I can see reviews for food but I'm reviewing the accommodation. It was horrible, being transported back to university days, really basic and generally inadequate. The mattresses must be at least 30 yrs old they are horrific, the bed it'self was for a quite short person! Shower was pathetic. Cleanliness was poor. Would not recommend

On route for a day out in lovely Cambridge. My wife and I went for early breakfast at the house! 2 full English breakfasts everything you would want, sausage, bacon, egg, mini hash brown's, black pudding, mushrooms, toast, and a tomato. All for less than a tenner! Superb quality food excellent service as always.

We visited the Stratton House Hotel again recently for Sunday lunch. We had booked a table beforehand so we were not disappointed. As usual, we had a very enjoyable lunch; we were pleased with the quality of the food and we thought all their meals were very reasonably priced. For starters, there was a choice of homemade soup, prawn cocktail,... More
