We stayed here for a long weekend in April as the midnight-sun entered Svalbard. We had a Junior suite that was spacious and well equiped with minibar, refrigerator and a nespresso machine. Nice and renovated bathroom. The hotel also have a nice dining room where also breakfast is served. It's a beautiful view over the Advent Fjord. The small bar... More

The hotel has a good location, although pretty much everything in Longyearbyen is close to anything in town. My room was ok, nothing special but with good beds. Breakfast was pretty much the same as you'll find in most of the Radisson chains hotels. They have a baggage storage room (unmanned) which is nice if you're staying after checkout or... More

Stayed here for one night (Basecamp was full) and I was disappointed in the rooms. Not that there was anything really wrong it was just a standard pre-feb building aith a standard room and poor sound insulation (we could hear the people upstairs when they were walking around. Basically, you could have been anywhere in this room and I was... More

One must always calibrate expectations for hotels with the location. Longyearbyen is a very small town in a remote area, so you are not going to have a typical "Radisson" experience here. The rooms are going to be smaller than in most city locations and there are fewer amenities, even though the price is similar. From the hotel you are... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in March for the Solar Eclipse and what a great place to stay. The staff couldn't do enough for you and were extremely efficient even though the hotel was completely full. The choice of food was outstanding and there were staff on hand replenishing the serving platters. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the... More

We stayed here for 4 nights as part of a very large group travelling with Travel Quest International to see the solar eclipse. The hotel was great, very well run and in a good location. They put us in the Ingrid Pedersen junior suite which was lovely and warm with underfloor heating in the bathroom (important, when the temperature outside... More

I had expected a lot more from the Radisson Blu... This is way beneath their standard.. Breakfast is ok but was out of sweetener for tea. Friend eggs were empty or if there were any left, cold. Bacon was empty , looks like they don't refill once things run out. No orange juice, only pineapple juice, red lemonade or water.... More

It goes without saying that the surrounding area of this hotel is amazing, and the views from the restaurant were wonderful. However, being at 78°N is not without it's challenges, which I believe the hotel copes with admirably! The hotel is cozy, and the dining room lovely, with a fireplace and comfy sofas for sitting when indoors warming up (no... More

Pleasant hotel with comfortable services, which operate "almost inappropriately" in this wild polar region. Many will be surprised by local custom footwear needed at the door. Everything is clean and pleasant. Staff mostly helpful.

Locate in the heart of Longyearbyen. Staff very helpful and friendly. Hotel has adequate facilitis and decen buffet for meals. The bar is a must visit in the evenings. Hotel is only a short walk frm the Arctic Sea, museum, shops and has beautiful views of mountains and the arctic tundra.
