A comfortable good-sized room in a very smart new building. Delicious and generous breakfast included in the price (served across the road). Friendly staff. Good value (by Svalbard standards). Handy for shops, restaurants and the town generally. What's not to like?

I am going to give it 5 stars for 3 reasons: friendly and helpful staff, central location and modern, yet rustic feel. Okay, it's no Mandarin Oriental, but you are in Longyearbyen -there are only 3 hotels and population here is 2,200. Be sure to take your hiking boots or shoes off when you enter - there is carpet everywhere... More

The room was small, yet very clean. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The front desk was very helpful with any questions. The hotel is in the middle of Longyearbyen. The hotel also offers a nice breakfast in an area where food is quite expensive.

This is a modern, a bit simple but very nice hotel and the view from the top floor is great and really let you get a feeling for how Longyearbyen is. I might also add that the breakfast that is included in the price is eaten across the street in a sports pub. This fact didn't get your hopes too... More

We spent 4 days on Svalbard early July. Stayed at Svalbard Hotel. In "mainland language" I guess we would have called it a motel due to its modular architecture. Nothing is built on Svalbard. It is prefab in Norway and erected in Longyearbyen. Experienced as fresh and new. Less wear and tear than normal for any hotel as it is... More

The hotel was located in the end of the walking strip and the room was clean and cosy. The staff was friendly and the breakfast that was served in the restaurant/pub opposite the hotel, was very good. The price was reasonable and you had coffee/tea in the room.

All in all a good experience. Very warm and cosy atmosphere in hotel. But to all you foreigners: Its extreme expensive to stay at hotel in Svalbard. This is not a holiday if you want to save money. The Ala Carte restaurant was extreme expensive

A great location (although it is hard to be far away from the centre in the small Longyearbyen). Our room had a modern design - simple and pleasant - with a with a cute polar bear above the bed. Coffee and tea available in the room, and a tv with some international channels. But I assume that if you have... More

Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and I think it was perfect for my stay in Longyearbyen. I had booked a single room and got a room with a bunk bed. At first I had my doubts about the bunkbed, but in the end I was quite happy with it since the bottom bed was quite big. Downside is... More

Nice clean small hotel with a great and helpful staff. The rooms were not large but just right. They made our stay successful. Hope to come back. We will recommend the hotel to friends going to Svalbard.
