My name is Ermis and I visited onar hotel and suites 15 days before to celebrate ''fanarakia'' at tinos island. I am from Greece but the last three I have been working at the UK.When I visited the hotel was a very quiet hotel with other visitors like me,who have gone to the island for this celebration. The hostess named Despoina... Located close to the ferry port and Only a short walk from town. I tthink we got the best room in the hotel, with a large balcony and a decent view; clean and nicely decorated. We thought we had the hotel to ourselves until a party of around 12 American walkers turned up which changed the dynamics somewhat. The hotel... More

WAY overpriced. Not worth the money at all. We paid 150 Euros for a small room per night. After comparing with similar hotels nearby, they were 3 times less expensive and just as nice. We felt cheated and the staff didn't seem to care when we mentioned this. The worst customer service I ever experienced. They seem to be a new... More

They gave us the rooms they use for the hotel's personnel... A dungeon-like room with no direct natural light, common high window with the neighboring room, WC window common with the hotel's... kitchen! All that for the same price as our friends' suite above us. Our complaints were met with sneers and sarcasm. Avoid at all costs.

Our room was located on the 1st floor. Clean, overall quiet, with a tiny balcony. Bathroom plumbing was awful. Hotel's decor nicer than the actual rooms. Swimming pool was more like bath-size with no sun loungers. U can walk to town and to all the bars & restaurants available there. For 85 euros/night (114 dollars) in mid-June maybe you should... Nice and clean rooms, very quiet place to relax a bit, there are tables and sofas in nice and shady corners to drink a beer or a coffee. Within five minutes "downtown" where you find all restaurants and bars. Superfriendly staff, good breakfast with homemade cakes, etc. Rent a car and explore the island. Water in Tinos cristalclear and very... More

We stayed at the Onar Studios for two nights. Our room consisted of one king-sized bed, a little sitting area, and a kitchenette. The decor is really pretty and stylish, with a sea theme (the light fixture in our room had two dried starfish in it). The breakfast was delicious - the owners made us a zucchini quiche with zucchini... More

We walked off the ferry without a map and very limited Greek vocabulary, so it was reassuring to find helpful fruit sellers at the port. They quickly phoned the owner who appeared in her Jeep and took us to the studio. This was not far from the port. The property in the traditional blue and white with some twists. Tinos... More

Onar Studios is a fantastic place to stay, it is modern, clean and friendly with a very personal service. The horrors of mass tourism seem far away ,service is incredible yet not intrusive. No doubt we will be back, just wished to speak a few phrases in greek to make communication easier.

The studios are beautifully designed in the Cycladic style with attention given to the smallest detail. The bathrooms are also designed to complement each individual room. Bedding changed every other day and rooms kept very clean. We also had a fantastic view, from our terrace, looking out to sea towards Mykonos. Air conditioning in every room - fantastic. I have...
