Subject: Palatia Village Location: Hersonissos, Crete, Greece, Europe Title: Biggest disappointment of my life. Two star, at best ID#: 232423712 By some distance, this was the worst accommodation I have ever been offered on holiday. We arrived at Palatia Village apartments at midnight and reception was closed. We had to make a phone call to get the attention of the... More

The first disappointment was that we did not get minimal supply like soap in the rooms! Also we were promised to get free Wi-Fi but it was a lie! It is about 10 minutes walk in a very dangerous path to the main street, and taxi costs 7 Euros each direction. The cooking not impressive. The shower was terrible Generally... More

Firstly let me say that this is a nice, quiet hotel. If you are looking for somewhere to just relax, go out and eat, go on trips etc... then this is the ideal spot. The pool area is lovely, quiet and clean. Staff were quiet but friendly, not over powering which is what I want. The location is decent. About... More

We complained to the owner that the pillows were disgusting, -badly stained, orange with sweat and covered with blood marks. The maid came and took them but as we sat on the balcony waiting we saw her come out of an opposite room with another two pillows which were brought to us. The bath/shower was filthy, coated with grime and... More

Great location, peaceful and only a short walk from the town and the old villages. The pool and surround was really good, very clean. Ok that's the plus points, now for the minuses. Safe deposit box, extra, air conditioning, extra, Wi-Fi, extra, fresh orange juice for breakfast, extra, cooked breakfast extra. Other countries theses are all included in your price.... More

George and Maria were very nice and friendly and despite the apartment not being ready on our arrival due to a plumbing/flood problem in our room did their best to make our holiday. We really enjoyed the stay and would probably return, on the down side the bathroom was typically greek and only of average standard. you did get the... More

We were really happy at the idea to be in a 4 start hotel in Crete. What a disappointment! The emplacement is really nice with a nice view on the see and a fantastic garden. The pool really enjoyable. The negative points are sadly too much to balance the positive points: - By arriving nobody was present in the lobby... More

Having visited in September on a B&B basis, I went with my partner & got a warm welcome from George & Maria. Very clean & well maintained pool & garden area, bedding & towels changed every other day. The food was nice but not a large menu & George's barbeque was well worth the 10euros. Even though the apartments were... More

We stayed there for 2 weeks, and its the best holiday we've had! Never had such serenity. Most days we'd start with just chilling by the pool. Enjoying the sun, dipping in now and then, and reading some really interesting literature.. Been years since I've been as relaxed as I was at Palatia. First of all, the room was awesome.... More

The staff at the Palatia Village hotel were superb!! They were extremely friendly and welcoming. George, the owner, brought us welcome drinks and was extremely helpful in his knowledge of the island and reccommendations as to what to visit. All staff spoke excellent english and were always available should you have a request. Theye were very helpful with booking taxi... More
