This is probably a century old (or older) Assamese home converted to a hotel and run by ITC. The kitchen and food may not be that great but the rooms are very beautiful and living there takes one back a century. The garden and the courtyard are VERY beautiful.

Stayed for two nights at Rosaville in Oct 2014. It is a hotel carved out of a stand alone, single story, residential property. Built on a large plot, it has five rooms.Rooms are large and furnished with period furniture and photographs but refurbished toilets. Linen provided was clean and replaced on demand. Catering is done in house with help from... More

This was a very plesant stay with a little away from noisy Police Bazar, home feelings with awsome well maintained lush green lawns. Room service required little extra care. It was a nice place to stay.

The property is really beautiful with a lovely garden. However, the horror story started on the first night as we arrived. We had taken two rooms for the three of us. In one of the rooms the mattress and pillow was wet! Not damp-wet! The sheets and curtains looked like they hadn't been changed in weeks. The walls were grimy... More

We stayed here for two nights on our first trip to Shillong, we fell in love with it the moment we entered the property. The luxury heritage cottages surrounded by lush green lawns and trees around is a place right out of a Rudyard Kipling story. The kinds you'd have only read about and seen pictures of, the best stay... More

the comfortable rooms, sprawling, well manicured lawns make it an ideal place to unwind..the well maintained drawing hall, reading room and the dining hall give it a homely feel. The staff is courteous and enhance the experience of a homely stay...Thank you Mrs. Bawri for this rejuvenating experience!.....Dr. Mitali Dandekar- Lall

Being an avid traveller across the world and having stayed in all kinds of properties I have never come across something like this. On arrival on the 20 jan 2014 we were shown our room and since it was around 7pm we checked in and while keeping the luggage discovered to my biggest horror a dead RAT under the bed.... More

Since the villa is in upper part of shillong still the transportation facilities were frequent & good. You will get a feel of British architecture in villa as it has wooden flooring & big fire places, nice collection of antique furniture. Staff was supportive & complementary breakfast was good. We stayed for 3 days ..The rooms are large, old and heritage style. The staff are NOT at all supportive, Horrible service and food is really bad. But the ambiance is GOOD, rooms are maintained well. Can be a very good place but need a proper attention for managing the property.
