A really unusual find in the middle of nowhere, or so it seemed. Full of old style charm of yesteryear and an oasis indeed in Pragpur. Quaint and comfortable. Staff very helpful. Food sometimes basic but enjoyable. Beautiful grassed areas and gardens to walk around; very peaceful.

Pragpur is a very small town in Kangra district - and Judge's Court is a sprawling old world property set amidst orchards and lots of greenery. The objective part of the review, first - The high points : 1. The journey : Within easy driving distance from Delhi (about 9-10 hours), lovely views along the way. The roads are super... More

Our family stayed two blissful days at the Judge's Court in April. The hospitality was unsurpassed in our experience of hotels across the world. Our hosts made sure we had everything we needed and so much more. There was even live music to serenade us over pre-dinner drinks. Nothing was too much trouble. It felt like we were guests in... My first visit here, it was above any of my expectations. The hotel itself is a real bauty - just passed it's 100 th year - situated right next to the nice Pragpur heritage village. We arrived early night, having booked the suites available by phone. The whole checkin and paperwork was easy and fast. I do recomend to spend... More

Beautiful house and furniture with lovely hosts, Mr and Mrs Lal. We had drinks with them and other guests in the garden beside a roaring fire before dinner which was buffet but very tasty and hot. The evening weather was chilly and our bedrooms were cold, but fires were provided and hot water bottles had been put in our beds... More

We were on our way to Mcleodganj doing a backpacking tour and bus rides all the way and had heard of the heritage city of Pragpur, which we thought to check out and where we came across this property. Staying here is like getting an overnight upgrade, its is less like a hotel and gives you a feeling of being... More

This hotel has been carefully restored and maintained to a high standard. Our room was large with a spacious though relatively basic shower room and the bed was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the food very much and the staff were attentive. Take a walk in the nearby village if you don't mind the curious stares!

This hotel was great. We stayed in the Mews rooms which were huge and very well appointed. Good bathrooms, comfy beds, excellent food. The breakfast and lunch were served near the plunge pool under the mango trees, a lovely setting. At dinner, which the first night was served on the lawn, there was live music. The first night a bagpipe... More

During a 5 week trip to India we stayed 16 different establishments. This place was, in our opinion, the best of them. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, the service is excellent and the food we had was good. The idea of having a "cocktail hour" before the evening meal is good and promotes guests mixing. The home grown produce is... More
