We stayed at this charming Heritage Hotel for one night. On the face of it and from the delightful photographs and recent reviews we were looking forward to a pleasant overnight stay. This was not our experience, in fact a very uncomfortable and unwelcome stay Although the hotel reservation was made several months ago through our UK travel agent our... More

This charming hotel is perfect for a weekend getaway, or a longer escape. Located in the somewhat far flung town of Pragpur in Himachal Pradesh, the hotel blends into its ancient surroundings. It sits well in the heritage village, providing luxury without feeling like a Disneyland. The staff are polite, helpful and very attentive. The chef will often ask for... More

The residence of a judge during the British Era now converted into a hotel and that too with a tie up with Welcome Heritage. ..A lovely, calm, relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The maintainace is excellent. The hospitality is very personalised and good. You can feel the royalty especially in the common areas in the main building with loads of antiques. Do... More

Staff distracted on arrival - which we later found was due to power cut - consequently the welcome wasn't warm. We stayed one night only in a separate building in the grounds called "The Residence" in what they described as a "Deluxe Room" but we would take issue with this description due to the small size and lack of wardrobe... This small hotel was the house of a judge and is still owned by his grandson. Its a beautiful place full of old furniture and tastefully restored with (modern and efficient plumbing) in a not very attractive small town. Surrounded by large lush gardens. We stayed 2 nights here and had a ground floor room in a small building attached... More

We had a wonderful night here. Judges Court is quirky and charming and the staff were friendly and courteous. We had a delicious barbecue in the garden with the other guests and all seemed to be having a lovely time. If you want a modern hotel this is not for you but if you want something that is quirky and... More

The setting is lovely and the gardens pretty but the beds are very hard, the plumbing unreliable and the only radiator gave off sparks. We had the misfortune to arrive whilst the owner was having a very rowdy house party which meant we did not get our rooms cleaned until we complained as the staff were busy with the owners... More

This heritage building has been lovingly restored. There is some construction work in progress on an adjacent site. This produced some unwelcome noise but only for a limited time. We had to change rooms immediately as we were shown to a double despite booking a twin. The chef produced a varied and tasty selection of food and local musicians entertained... More

our trip spoiled by the fact that the son of the owners arrived on the same days as us, plus a bunch of his friends. Cue loud noise, excessive drinking by his party, shouting and swearing as they played cards, horrible karaoke until the early hours (none of his group could sing). Plus the food we were served was the... More

my second visit to Judges court. The only reason I am giving it 4 very good and not excellent is that I was concerned about the construction going on. The first time I visited, they had beautiful garden with mature trees all well documented for the client to stay and enjoy. While this time they had cut most of it... More
