Great Heritage hotel. We had fantastic stay Judge's court. Only draw back was the buffet food. During lunch you can order Ala-Cart but not during the dinner. You are forced to have buffet even though you don't want to as they don't have option for Ala-Cart. But service and ambience is very good.

A very old and very well maintained property. The greenery is extensive but maintained.Yes the staff was very cordial and efficient....especially on the second day when the owner arrived. She is a grand old lady and i could see her personally supervising the staff and taking care of even the minutest of things. The chef was good and we preordered and selected the... We have been in this hotel in march this year. It was very cold at this place. As I entered I was ill because I had difficulties with the change of temperature. During the night time, we arrived with our driver and found hot water bottles in our beds. The staff is very careful and helpful. The restaurant is very... More

It was interesting experience. India always surprises me, and here, also, the hotel surprised. Very nice family owners are very caring. Caring staff, rooms for those who like antiques, food is a bit monotonous. Dinner under open air - wonderful. I liked this hotel. It is also interesting location of this hotel, will be there - necessarily to take a... More

There is so much to commend this Heritage hotel: it is a beautiful, historic building set in large gardens, complete with a small pool and roof terrace, from which you have lovely views of the surrounding area. The decor is tasteful and the numerous family photos and bric-a-brac bring it to life. We had a warm welcome from both the... More

Stay at Judge's court for a couple of nights enroute to Dharamshala. This is a good quality heritage hotel with very attentive staff. The rooms have character and are furnished well to the period of the property. The food was delicious, with the option of eating inside or in the garden. The hotel is clean and well kept, and the... I had heard of The Judge's court as "The Place" enroute Dharamshala from Shimla in a small village pragpur that actually has a heritage village status. We had our reservation made direct. We reached the hotel and the area of the hotel is huge. The staff is nice and very welcoming but we were a little dissappointed with the rooms.... More

The Judges Court is a family run hotel which prides itself on providing " home from home" hospitality and it does not disappoint. The welcome was warm, the bed rooms were spotless, the modern bathrooms came complete with hot water - we had afternoon tea in the garden (included) and dinner was a delicious treat again taken in the garden.... Judge's Court prides itself that it treats it's guests as members of the family. I'm not sure this is a great advertising slogan as I'd rather be treated as a paying customer than a sponging family member any time. In any event the staff don't quite live up to this billing with quite surly management of the front desk. The... More

We spent one afternoon and night en route to Shimla in the foothills of the Himalaya in November of 2013.We were the only guests resident on the day and it was a wonderful opportunity to experience how it must have been when it was the Judge's residence. It was beautifully calm and the lovely gardens made for a very relaxing... More
