This was a repeat visit with family. An ideal place to just relax and do nothing. In case you are activity inclined, you can trek, do angling, go birding, visit waterfall etc. Staff is good and prompt. Food is tasy and above average. The hosts Shefali and Christopher are excellent hosts. Room above the entrance to the property are recommended.... More

I had a long think about how to rate this property after visiting last summer, there were some positive points and the place could be great however others let it down. I shall try to explain; The Himalayan Trout house is in a great location with minimal local competition so they really don't need to try and unfortunately this shows.... More

The Himalayan Trout House is the ideal retreat - away from the madness of any city/town/tourist place. It is right next to the Tirthan River - and the only sound you will hear will be of the river, the birds and the wind rustling - except for the wonderful evenings in the Gazebo - full of chatter, music and fun... The place was so serene and quiet, what you can hear loud was gushing water and chirping birds!! Rooms are awesomely done, food is real good. Its not a hotel, its a place in itself around which you can plan your whole trip. Come to tirthan, stay in this hotel, eat here, go for a nature walk, do fishing( they provide... More

A green, eco-resort, there are options to chose from depending upon your living requirements PROS - excellent location, with tastefully done rooms and amenities - centrally located gazebo restaurant, with a fireplace - excellent quality food (esp. the continental stuff) - nice, short treks in the vicinity and above all - excellent hosts, with personal attention Will visit again

While in Tirthan valley, if you are looking for the best place to stay, you must choose Himalayan Trout House. Operated by a couple who have moved from Delhi, every piece of the HTH seems to be done with lots of thought and artistic feel. Nice rooms with ample natural light, an area for kids to play, tasty food on... More

Excellent place with gracious hosts that serve delicious home cooked food at reasonable rates. The location is idyllic with the Himalayas on one side and the beautiful Nagini valley on the other. Getting there was a pain as it took us 24 hours, instead of the usual 12, on account of land slides. But once we were there, it was... More

SUMMARY: Most of the guest houses in the Valley are owned and operated by locals. Himalayan Trout House (HTH) is owned and operated by Delhi-ites, so it has a far more sophisticated flair while still remaining true to ethnic roots. If you are the kind of traveler who appreciates that, you will really enjoy HTH. This lodge is a favorite... More

Tirthan Valley a Beautiful undiscovered valley short of Manali where the Tirthan River flows flawlessly.. Banjar is the nearest town where most of the facilities can be found..But staying in Gushiani village is the best experience one can have. There are not to many places of stay but the ones which are there are located in some magnificent setting.. Stayed... More
