Got the hotel from from Hotwire for ~$125/night for three nights. When I called to check my reservation, the person that answered the phone was quite rude. I told her that I wanted to check on my reservations, without a word she just transferred me to reservations. I had thought that she hung up on me, as she didn't say... more
I'm a relatively frequent Hyatt and Starwood hotel traveler, and this was not one of my favorites. I have good experiences with Hyatt, which is what made this a little unusual. But a few "off" things happened during my stay - some probably situational, some probably not. First, I booked a concierge level room for maybe $40 more than the... more
We liked this hotel, but was bummed that there were no restaurants -- other than the hotel's pricey one -- around. We ate there and actually left hungry! more
This hotel was very clean, the room felt bigger then other hotels I've stayed at. The room was well maintained, the staff very friendly and it was centrally located. The valet parking was $21 per day, but there were parking lots in the surrounding areas for $5-7.00 per day. I didn't want to park in those since it's a lot... more
My wife and I were looking for a weekend retreat and tried a low bid in a high rating via Priceline.com, and ended up with this room for an exceptionally low rate. We were pleased. The location is what it is - right on Capitol Square. So, the businesses on the immediate surrounding blocks close early. Even the CVS around... more
We stayed at the Hyatt over the July 4th weekend, as we experienced the "Red White and Boom" fireworks spectacle. Not only did we get a great price on Priceline, but we were we within walking distance to everything downtown. Plus, being right across the street from the Captiol Building was a really nice bonus, and on weekends, parking is... more
Traveled to Columbus, OH on business and stayed at the Hyatt on Capitol Square. It was a great location, immediately across from the Capitol. It's a short 12 minute walk to the federal courthouse. Overall, the room was clean, though dated looking. The room was incredibly average and had a musty smell. Surprisingly, the bad was comfortable and I had... more
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Hyatt on Capitol Square over the Fourth of July weekend and would highly recommend this hotel. Our rate was about $110/night. Had a special deal where valet parking was free. We had a King Room. We did not have a view of the Capitol Square, but if this is important to you, I'm... more
We recently spent one night in the downtown Columbus Hyatt. It was another great Hyatt stay. The room was clean and well maintained, the bathroom was nice and roomy. I had requested a late check-in and when we arrived, the bed was turned down with a robe and chocolates. I paid $85 on hotwire, com and was very pleased with the... more
