For a Renaissance Hotel I was expecting a little more. I was there for a conference and my room was free of charge so I can't complain too much and I don't know how much it generally costs. The room itself was fine and the location being downtown was nice and convenient. There was also a bar that was open... more

We stayed two nights over the weekend in town for the Ohio State game. The hotel has a nice/new feel to it even though it retains some "classic" feels as well. PROS: Super nice front desk staff Valet team very fast Reasonable priced bar drinks Great location Comfortable beds Cheap breakfast from room service CONS: The smallest bathrooms in the... more

The Renaissance Hotel is a wonderful place to stay! I was here there in June 2009 with family and friends. We had a group of 15 and had 3 different rooms. They were all very clean and nice. The service at the hotel was excellent and I would def recommend anyone to the Renaissance in Columbus! more

I was getting married in a venue downtown and wanted to get an affordable room for the evening, so I put in an extremely reasonable Priceline bid and got a room at The Renaissance. It worked out beautifully! Even though the hotel was packed with guests that weekend I felt that service didn't suffer. I was able to find a... more

We stayed overnight at this hotel on our way to Dayton. It was beautiful! Check-in was a breeze; all employees we had contact with were helpful and polite. We were disappointed we weren't staying longer. A relative in the area told us the restaurant is very good, but we did not eat there. BE AWARE that parking is $23 and... more

When researching Columbus hotels for a recent business trip, I was pleasantly surprised to discover The Columbus had a much lower rate than several lower-category hotels. You find a break like that, you usually take it. And it turned out to be a good move. The hotel itself is lovely, the service was great, and the room was clean and... more

The location of this hotel is the only good thing. I had a block of rooms there for my wedding guests. We stayed there for 2 nights and had over 30 other room booked by our guests. We were treated terrible. Both nights in the bar my guests and I were yelled at for various reasons. On Saturday night, they... more

I've stayed at several of the downtown Columbus hotels, both on business and otherwise, and this is probably one of the nicest. Room was clean and updated in a contempory style. My only beef with it was that my view was of a rooftop instead of the pool (which is on the 4th or 5th floor rooftop) and downtown, and... more
