Any time we are in Cleveland we stay here. Here's a few quick points.. Location is the best in Cleveland. Walking distance to restaurants like Lola, The Metropolitan, XO Prime, and the Warehouse/West 4th area in general. Also, walk to Browns Stadium, Rock Hall, Science Center and West Side Market. If the weather is bad, walk INSIDE via tower city... more

Service is excellent. Very considerate and courteous. Is in a very good area and is within walking distance of John Q's Steakhouse(Greatest Restaurant in Cleveland). However, the hotel is extremely outdated! I understand it is an historic hotel and they try to keep it vintage, but there is a difference between vintage and plain old. Everything about the suite was... more

There is a courtyard swimming pool at this travesty of a hotel, so that there is a constant echoing shriek of kids and splashes - day and night - reaching EVERY SINGLE ROOM in the hotel. I cannot imagine a worse design flaw. For guests attending conferences, who need to spend some time during the day writing, this place is... more

This hotel needs some serious attention. I read the previous reviews and decided to give it a try. It may have been a nice hotel at some point not any time lately. Great old hotel lobby with very friendly staff, but the rooms are a joke. My room was freezing (I am never cold) when I arrived and I got... more

We stayed here one night while we were in town for an Indians game. Nice rooms, lobby, and restaurant. Self parking in the garage was a challenge, but eventually found a space. While the rooms and bathroom are very nice, the walls are quite thin. We could hear voices or a television in the room next to ours late into... more

We got this hotel on Priceline for $70/night. This hotel is in a great area, only a mile or so from the stadiums, market and many museums. The hotel itself is very nice looking with a very nice lobby. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. They have a pool, though it's a bit small and shallow... more

Stayed one night in March of 2008 while attending a conference and wasn't expecting much. Great (government) rate of $80. Beautiful old hotel, attached to mall (cheap, quick eats) and transit system. Room service pretty good, quick, and not as crazily overpriced as is becoming typical for hotels (no additional per person or delivery charge, "just" tax and 20% service... more

My husband and I left the kids behind at their uncles and headed off to Cleveland for his 30th birthday. We stayed at the Renaissance, which was PERFECT since we also had tickets for the Cavs game that night. The hotel is connected to Tower City, so we were able to go from our room to the game without setting... more

My husband and I checked in here after having far too many drinks to drive home during a weekend dinner in Cleveland. It is very close to all of the downtown attractions in Cleveland such as the Rock Hall, Tower City & the science center. The hotel itself is very beautiful & elegant; the lobby and bar were bustling with... more
