You have to drive on a country road to find the Guggisberg Swiss Inn (and the accompanying cheese factory/gift shop and restaurant) but if you like farm country, things Swiss, peace, quiet and cows, this is a great place! And the rate couldn't be beat. They actually took $20 off the regular room rate for seniors! This is in the... more

We and another couple were the only people there on a Saturday night, we should have tried to negotiate the rates. They did offer us a meal at no charge with an Amish family. We were unable to determine when we would arrive so declined. They offered snacks in the sunroom in the evening. Breakfast in the morning was what... more

My sister and I stayed at this hotel for my birthday. At the time I was 16 and my sister was 20. Although this area is a great place for adults, my sister and I always found something to do. There was lots to do by the hotel and we especially loved the horseback riding tour that was offered through... more

I have to be honest and say that I did not stay here....yet. I had a room booked for March 24th. However, on March 22 my father passed away unexpectedly. Since this hotel has a 72 hour cancellation policy, I thought I would have to pay for the room even though I would not be able to stay. I called... more

I chose the Guggisberg for its location, and convenience to various Ohio Amish area sites. The Guggisberg is located on a hilltop, and is off a side road which virtually eliminated any traffic noise from the main highway down the road. Because Fall weather had just begun, the area foliage had only started showing its yellow and red lusters. My... more

This is an excellent place to stay. We have stayed there twice and have been very happy each time. The Inn is very pretty and the grounds well kept. The sunroom in the back overlooks the pond where ducks roam freely. The horses are able to raom the grounds too and are very friendly. Each time we stayed there we... more

The Inn was okay. It is far from being an idyllic retreat in the country. It is true horses and ducks wander the grounds...and leave plenty of "tracks" to tip toe through. There are no windows looking over the grounds behind the inn, which is too bad cause it is scenic. The inn is laid out like a motel with... more

The rooms are perfect, the staff outstanding, the setting is idilic, the weener roast on a sunday a must. A pond with ducks ,feed available, peace and quiete. If you stay you must do the trial ride, the views are stunning and again... more
