My husband and I stayed here for three nights in a camp trailer on a powered site for $34 per night. We chose a site away from the beach because we read reviews about how windy it can be here. That was a good choice. We were close to the amenities. Our site was a good size. The only downfall... More

Booking and check in a breeze with friendly and helpful staff. Park was full to capacity (or so it seemed) so timing showers and general usage of the ablution block proved tricky at times, but that is to expected at Easter. Glad we read reviews prior about the southerlies, blew an absolute gale on Thursday, tighten down the straps when... More

The booking in and checking out was easy, managed by very friendly staff. The bathroom were very clean at all times and the showers were amazing. The kids loved the bouncy pillow and the rest of the playground. The park location fantastic and the sites were generous. The only downside was the park was very dry, but I guess that... More

Stayed the weekend and enjoyed the break. This park has everything for a family and is close to the shore. Between Victor Harbour and Goolwa, Port elliot is a quiet town as is the park. Well grassed sites with bitumen road ways. Annetities block were clean and hot water is always hot. You will never need to queue for a... More

Have been staying in a cabin, in the park for a number of years now, (same time each year). It is always a pleasure to return to such an iconic location, as Horseshoe Bay. The cabin is clean & generally well maintained. The bed is comfortable & the shower hot, what more could you ask for. I certainly do not... More

Great location and clean amenities. However sites are not maintained. They are uneven and lack grass coverage. Laundry not opened until 8.45 on average, bins overflowing and not emptied. a very popular park for families on weekends. There is no TV coverage and the TV in the camp kitchen is on the wrong wall and due to the sun setting... More

Your review is appreciated however I would like the opportunity to clarify a few points. Certainly many sites are heavily used and are showing signs of wear and tear. We have an extensive re-surfacing programme commencing after Easter 2015 which should see any unevenness and your concerns eliminated. Television coverage is patchy in areas of the Park but we also... More

This a deceptively large park with two amenities blocks. We stayed on powered site 78 which was very sandy probably due to overuse. There were no threatening gum trees which is just as well as it can get quite windy. If you want absolute foreshore sites batten down the hatches. You'll need extra tiedowns and throw a wide webbing strap... More

Your review and tips for caravanners and campers was great - thank you. While being a beachfront Park is lovely most of the time, we do experience some ripper southerlies that test even the most seasoned campers. We certainly agree that finding the right site for your stay is really important and encourage people to have a look around first.... More

The grounds are neat & tidy. Very much targeted as a family friendly park with plenty of equipment for the kids to play on, grassed areas & freedom to ride their bikes. Very well equipped kitchen/BBQ area for all to use. Can see how it could get hectic during peak season though. Rocks to climb, beaches to explore, swimming &... More

We appreciate your TripAdvisor feedback and glad you enjoyed beautiful Port Elliot. We have taken up your comment about the linen being used in our accommodation and have spoken at length with our suppliers and will definitely have this sorted immediately. We've also increased the stock supplies as you recommended. Thanks for the great feedback! More

We don't go to caravan parks for the facilities I should say straight up. We go for the view and if we don't have one it does affect our experience. This is a well run, clean and secure park but Port Elliot has its drawbacks. It can be as windy as all get out and the wind comes straight off... More

Stayed with friends at the park in s standard cabin. Cabins were fairly tidy (blood stains later found in bed spread) and well equipped. Cabins are situated at the far corner of the park, about 5-10 min walk to horseshoe bay. Huge amount of people packed in tightly, however fairly quiet at night. Would like to come back outside school... More

Thank you for the feedback on your recent stay at the Park. Any marks on bedding are a definite no-no and this will be immediately attended to. Summer school holidays are always a little 'busy' (for want of better word) so hopefully you're able to experience Port Elliot again when it settles a little and a sense of calm envelopes... More
