After almost 15 years of visiting twice a year this park has now deteriorated to a dust pile. The sites get no water and without bringing your ground cover its not possible to stay. The park staff even advise all customers to bring their own shade cloth for covering the dirt and mud. Very sad for such a nice spot.... More

Thanks for your review Austents. We do appreciate your comments regarding the Park grounds and we do also acknowledge that due to ongoing water restrictions (over 9 years) and 7 consecutive years of low rainfall, the ground condition is suffering. Our staff encourage guests to use a ground cover such as shade cloth or matting simply to make their stay... More

No pool, No covered playground, No ensuite sites. Hot days and no children on the playground because equipment was too hot, no shade. Toilet blocks average clean. If you use after it has beent cleaned it is ok. Great location to beaches, quaint seaside shops.

Thank you for your review of our Park denny2016. While we don't have a pool we are located on a magnificent swimming beach. Horseshoe Bay is ideal for body boarding, swimming, etc and popular all year round. Your visit in December was during our peak capacity time in summer when yes, it can be very hot and this summer was... More

My first camping in 15 years and loved it at Port Elliot Camping grounds. The park is clean & very close to the beach. There are also lots to do for younger children as the playground is well equipped. The toilets were also clean and tidy. The only thing I didn't like was were all the large rubbish bins were... Very nice campground with a lot of open space. The beach is literally next door. Kids loved the jumping pillow. Given the large capacity (350 sites), there are very few amenities, dumppoints and garbage cans. It was very quiet when we visited, so no problem for us. But I wonder how long the lines for the shower will be in... More

Thank you so much for your great review. We're glad you and your family enjoyed the Park. Our facilities somehow do manage without any problems with the 1000+ guests at peak times albeit it can become crowded! We hope you've enjoyed your travels. More

We have stayed in many caravan parks around Australia and this park rates amongst our best. All the staff are friendly and obliging and efficient. The park is always well presented, even though there is a struggle to maintain good grass growth. The bathroom facilities are always clean, though some complain they are not. The staff can't be expected to... More

We love this park as our Summer retreat and Mannum in winter. Yes most of the sites have no grass. We put mats down. No you can't get TV. Who cares. The amenities are ALWAYS spotless. So they are a little old? They're very well maintained as is everything in the park. The park is so quiet at night. Peaceful... More

Port Elliot Holiday Park is beautifully located on a small peninsular surrounded by rocky beaches. It is an excellent location for a campground. With respect to restaurants, one needs to drive to Victor Habour as there is more choice. The facilities at this park are quite dated. We stayed with a campervan and just used the bathrooms. The location makes... More

We stayed here for three nights in one of the older style cabins. The cabin had a fully equipped kitchen, table and chairs, a double and two sets of bunks. We had cold weather during our stay but the cabin was relatively warm. It was nice and simple accomodation and great value for money. The park is located on a... More

Thanks Edward H for reviewing your stay at the Park. We agree that sometimes accommodation doesn't have to be the newest or most modern, rather spotless, comfortable and great value for money accommodation can hit the spot. Glad this did for you. Regards, Kate. More

We wanted a weekend away so decided on Port Elliot as we had heard how good it is. It was great, easy book in, good sized sites, camp kitchen new and the amenities clean. Our daughter never stopped with the play ground and safe grounds for the kids to play and run. Beautiful beaches, cafes close by. Good easy weekend... More

A great place to stay, pretty and well serviced by friendly staff. It is too close to the Port Elliot bakery which makes the park even more enjoyable. We used the camp kitchen which is one of the best we've seen from Perth to Cairns. We've counted over 16 different bird species around the park including a pair of lapwings... More

Hi Russell Thank you so much for your lovely review of the Park. We're glad you enjoyed the Port Elliot bakery - yes we've eaten many a pastie and donut over the years too ! We will endeavour to protect our little nesting plovers who seem to love nesting near the playground a little better. Regards, Kate More
