Relief staff on arrival very friendly and owner the following morning too. I'm happy to pay $99 for two people if there's an obvious attempt to update - say for example, from analogue tv / set-top box to digital tv. I didn't need the tv nor the 1970s-looking microwave but would have liked to have a working exhaust fan in... More

Travelilng with a group of Harley riders. Hotel was comfortable and clean. Decor may not be the latest but very functional and no detriment to our stay. Lady owner did everything, reception, rooms etc and was very welcoming and friendly. As with other reviewers the hotel down the road had excellent meals and staff were also very welcoming. Prices are... More

If you don't want to go camping in the area this is a good alternative. Comfortable and clean the rooms are very dated. Suitable for an overnight stop. The owner was very helpful. You can walk to everything from the motel. Dinner in the hotel up the street was very good.

Very clean, small, and dated decor, but comfortable for an overnight stay. I had trouble sleeping as the slimline, cream coloured venetian blinds do not block out the street lights, or the motel lights, and I need more darkness than that to sleep well. The exhuast fan in the bathroom is very loud, and comes on automatically with the light.... More

Meningie is a pretty little town and the motel is situated right in the centre opposite the lake. The motel itself is slightly tired but clean and there were very few guests the night we were there. However it had everything we needed, including a very comfortable bed and was very clean. The owner was very friendly and recommended an... More

This motel was fine for an overnight stop in Meningie on a road trip from Adelaide to Melbourne, in advance of visiting Coorong National Park. Meningie is pretty small, so the motel is easy to find and has nice views of the lake (including lots of pelicans) just across the road. The room was pretty dated, but was clean and... More

This place is in dire need of modernization (rooms are a time travel to the 70s though the TV has color) but it is clean, central and in fairly good condition. Great for a night's stopover, Meningie has everything to stock up.

Stayed overnight in the family room with disabled bathroom down the back. Firstly, there is a slight step up onto the verandah and a concrete ramp into the room. The beds and chairs were comfortable. It was a hot day and the air conditioning worked well. The disabled bathroom is well designed with toilet and shower grab rails. An adjustable shower... More

Stayed overnight on trip from Adelaide to Robe. This is a dated motel but was very clean and comfortable. Dont forget to look in The Chambers which is a local craft co-operative. We had a picnic supper on the side of the lake and watched the sunset and the birds. We are not rushing this drive to Melbourne and this... More

This motel is an ideal stopover in a good location opposite Lake Albert.Compared to other motels on our travels in Australia it presented good value for money.
