We stayed at Peppermint Farm for two nights, mid March. From the moment we arrived I knew we had made the right decision to stay here for our wedding. The cottage has been beautifully restored with appropriate interior decor and antique furniture for it's era. It is clean, comfortable and warm and provisions are well stocked. We were delighted to... More

We were impressed . The cottage is bordered by a bush creek , grapevines and a huge pepper tree which all help give the perception of isolation. The cottage facilities were 1st class and there were all the cooking, cleaning, washing, and ironing equipment that may be required. The dishwasher was an unexpected luxury . The breakfast provisions were extensive and... More

We recently stayed here for two nights in late November and loved our stay! The cottage is beautifully restored and as you can see from the photos on their website is surrounded by vineyards and bush. Being an old restored cottage if you are tall you may need to duck through the doorways, but it is well worth it to... More

So impressed by Peppermint Farm Cottage. We were met by Paul and his wife who gave us a run down of the cottage's history and what to do and see while we were there. The cottage is decorated with antiqe furniture and housewares and it is very spacious. The bathroom is very modern. The kitchen was VERY well stocked with... More

We spent three nights at Peppermint Farm Cottage with another couple and had a very enjoyable stay. The cottage has been renovated in the country style which appears appropriate for its heritage. Paul gave us a very warm welcome and thoughtfully checked once during the weekend whether we needed anything to assist our stay and offered to change our towels,... More

My wife and I recently spent a memorable weekend at PepperMint Farm Cottage. Our hosts, Paul & Diane, couldn't do more to ensure our stay was perfect. The cottage itself is over a 100 years old but has been renovated/rejuvenated to a high standard. The view overlooking the vines was picture perfect and at night the quietness of the surrounding... Peppermint Farm was our base in the McLaren Vale area, very peaceful spot and great amenities. Got great insights into the local wine industry from Paul - and their recommendations for local wineries and eateries were spot on.

We stayed here for a second time now and were again very pleased with this place: While being beautifully located right in the middle of the vineyards, unfortunately since last time the owner has finished a big modern house right next to it which takes a bit away from the isolation and privacy of the place. Besides that, we still... More

We stayed at Peppermint Cottage for a week in mid-March and had a lovely time. The cottage itself is well equipped and very homely. Paul and Diana were very welcoming and always ensured that we had plenty of provisions for breakfasts, we were also treated to a bottle of wine on arrival - perfect. Will definitely go back to the... Peppermint Farm was a disappointment to us... after viewing some previous positive reviews, and paying a relatively expensive fare, we looked forward to a pleasurable experience in the old farmhouse cottage. Alas, we encountered a location too adjacent to our hosts' home, not much they could do about that, this being a historic cottage, but with a token attempt at... More

Your feedback is appreciated, despite being somewhat harsh. Most of the feedback here and posted on our online guestbook conflicts directly with your comments but we will take them on board. Our local heritage listed cottage was built in 1853 and for most of our guests the period décor is what they expect to see and nothing like 1963. More
