Stayed for 4 nights in May in our favorite little cabin (No 29). It was our fourth visit to Rawnsley and the place just keeps getting better. The recent refurbishments and addition of the decks to the cabins make then even more attractive. The cabin itself is ideally suited for two people and was clean, comfortable and very well presented.... More

Thank you for the wonderful comments. Everyone at Rawnsley Park appreciates having return visitors to remind us that we are going forward most of the time. The next idea is to install a 'misting system' on the deck area of the restaurant. More

a very quiet and comfortable place to stay in the magnificent Flinders Ranges. Very friendly staff. Limited menu in Woolshed restaurant, but food was delicious. A great stepping pff place to exploring the Ranges

We stayed in the 2 bedroom Eco Villa, the villa was warm, comfortable and the views were stunning. It had everything you could want. Its was quiet the surrounds peaceful with the straw bale providing the basis of an eco adventure. Lovely!

Great to hear that you enjoyed your stay. The mornings have been a bit brisk lately, but when viewed from a straw bale house life is serene. More

The Eco Villas at Rawnsley Park Station are made of straw! Yes, they are cement rendered bales of straw which make for a very well insulated dwelling. They are beautiful and furnished with plush beds and lovely lounges, the most modern appliances and fully air-con with polished floors. The villas also boast a viewing window above the huge king-size bed,... More

Great to hear of your experiences in the Flinders Ranges. The straw bale houses sound a bit alternative - but we are very happy with comfort, aesthetics and durability. More

Stayed in the Cabins - not the eco Villas - Cabins are clean and recently refurbished, everything worked, and was as it should be. Friendly and helpful staff, great restaurant within walking distance of the cabin.

On a flying trip through parts of the outback we had experienced the full spectrum of accommodation quality; but nothing prepared us for the surprise awaiting us at Rawnsley Park Station. The villas and surroundings were beautifully maintained, well furnished and very comfortable. Frankly, it was a surprise given the remote location. Split four ways, the cost of our three... More

We found the eco cabins to be extremely comfortable. They are genuinely Eco cabins, with compressed straw bale construction and double glazed windows. Insulation was so good that we didn't need heating overnight despite temperatures close to freezing. While very comfortable and very well located, I can't recommend staying here given price of approx $400 per night. Woodshed restaurant food... More

Thank you for your comments. The villas are a premium product that are charged for at what we believe is a reasonable price. More

Great secluded luxury accommodation, well worth the price. Good selection of continental breakfast provisions provided. Skylight is unique, particularly to see the stars at night. We took a half hour plane ride which gave you a good overall view of the area.

We stayed for 3 nights in the cabin accommodation and our final fourth night in an Eco Villa. The cabins were excellent, warm and well equipped and we were very comfortable. The villa was 'WOW' and exceeded all expectations. The privacy and comfort were beyond anywhere we have stayed in the world; with every detail well thought out. There was... More
