Stayed 3 nights July 2015 and a generally comfortable room with good heating, space and facilities - not to mention quiet. Staff were very friendly and accomodating to special requests, though the only thing I would recommend is more blankets on the beds as it gets very cold at night (it was consistently below Zero), and the only way to... Hi Andy3031, It is great to hear that you enjoyed your stay. It does get very cold at the resort in the winter. The rooms should have additional blankets and if you ever need you can always call reception for more. We are glad that the cold didn't affect your overall stay and you had a good time. Thanks for... The campsite is clean with hot showers. Chose your site powered or unpowered. Unpowered was $26 per night. Camp fires allowed and wood available for purchase. Lots of walks starting from visitor's centre. Beware the strenuous walk (the hardest) is a real challenge. It states it is 6 hours, usually these estimates are over generous, it is not the case... Thanks Amanda100England, It sounds like you had a great time at Wilpena with lots of walks. You are right in that some of the harder walks are quite difficult. It is National Parks that grade the walks and we have had the same feedback a number of times. We hope to see you in the Flinders again some time soon.... More

Stayed here with a group of friends. Staff were welcoming and showed us the rooms before we checked in. Rooms are older style and are definitely showing their age however they are clean and comfortable so I have no hesitation in recommending them. Just don't expect the latest and greatest. Dinner was good however breakfast was just average for a... More

We stayed in the motel accommodation. It is very small and basic, and reminded me of something suitable for school groups. The bathroom, despite and over powering smell of bleach on arrival, was not clean, the floor was the colour of the outside soil. with hair bunnies in the corners. The bedding was very old, and the blankets thin and... More

Firstly I would like to say that all of the staff here were most helpful and bright and cheerful, which made the stay comfortable enough. However, if you are expecting a high standard of accommodation you will be somewhat disappointed. The rooms definitely need a makeover and a very thorough clean, although I understand it is probably a difficult task... More

We've stayed in a family cottage for the reason of getting 2 separate beds as I was travelling with my mum. The place is central to lookouts and walks in the park - think it's actually the best accomodation available location wise. apartments are a bit aged but clean and maintained well. We haven't used the restaurant but the atmosphere... More

We loved taking an American friend to see the beauty of the Flinders. We really enjoyed 'glamping' in the Ikara Safari tents. Outside they look like a very stable tent, inside they have a floor, heating, comfortable beds and a hotel standard en suite. The breakfast in the dining tent was great. Individually prepared hot breakfast plus cereals, juice, coffee,... More

What a refreshing place to stop. Plenty of space between each campsite can have your own fire but bring your own firewood or buy some there. Showers are hot and it is a good campsite to relax in. You are surrounded by trees lots of bird life with kangaroos on the grounds.

A lovely spot to camp at the base of the walk. The ameneties are clean and good. The pound cafe is a a short walk away to have lunch or drink. Also stocked with general store supplies if needed.
