We stayed in the motel accommodation. It is very small and basic, and reminded me of something suitable for school groups. The bathroom, despite and over powering smell of bleach on arrival, was not clean, the floor was the colour of the outside soil. with hair bunnies in the corners. The bedding was very old, and the blankets thin and... More

Firstly I would like to say that all of the staff here were most helpful and bright and cheerful, which made the stay comfortable enough. However, if you are expecting a high standard of accommodation you will be somewhat disappointed. The rooms definitely need a makeover and a very thorough clean, although I understand it is probably a difficult task... More

We've stayed in a family cottage for the reason of getting 2 separate beds as I was travelling with my mum. The place is central to lookouts and walks in the park - think it's actually the best accomodation available location wise. apartments are a bit aged but clean and maintained well. We haven't used the restaurant but the atmosphere... More

We loved taking an American friend to see the beauty of the Flinders. We really enjoyed 'glamping' in the Ikara Safari tents. Outside they look like a very stable tent, inside they have a floor, heating, comfortable beds and a hotel standard en suite. The breakfast in the dining tent was great. Individually prepared hot breakfast plus cereals, juice, coffee,... More

What a refreshing place to stop. Plenty of space between each campsite can have your own fire but bring your own firewood or buy some there. Showers are hot and it is a good campsite to relax in. You are surrounded by trees lots of bird life with kangaroos on the grounds.

We stayed in the Safari tents for 6 nights in June of this year. It was cold on the outside but we were so cosy in our luxury tent. We enjoyed a buffet breakfast each morning of our stay and it was such a wonderful way to start our days . We were warm and comfortable and had all that... More

A lovely spot to camp at the base of the walk. The ameneties are clean and good. The pound cafe is a a short walk away to have lunch or drink. Also stocked with general store supplies if needed. You can have a open camp fire at certain times of the year and can purchase wood from the store. In... More

We spent 2 nights in Brachina and enjoyed the Wangara walk and some other lookouts that can be accessed by our 2wd car. For the room, heater was not warm enough, shower room is small, service was slow in the cafe.

The camp site for school groups is okay, but try and get bus bay 1 or 2 as they are better for coaches with kitchen trailers. The showers can be warm but if too many people are in them they tend to go cold very quickly. Lots of nice walks around but be aware of the roos that wander through... More

Hi Paul, Thanks for taking the time to let us know your thoughts. We appreciate that when there is high demand, facilities such as the camp ground hot water system may struggle to keep up. We are currently looking at plans to upgrade the camping facilities and hopefully this will be complete by the next time you visit. Thanks also... More

The hotel is positioned away from everything and has limited phone and net cover, which for us is an attraction for a real escape. The room was spacious and comfortable. Food here was good value and generously portioned although a limited menu. There is plenty to see and do whether you want to walk or drive through the beautiful scenery.... More
