Aldgate Valley Bed and Breakfast is the perfect place to spend a relaxing weekend, upon arrival after walking into the delightful cottage we found a real log fire warming up the cottage and instantly felt warm and cosy inside. The cottage was clean and set up perfectly for a weekend of staying in if you choose and the beautiful garden... More

What a cute little cottage, nestled alongside a creek and hidden amongst lush trees. The covered deck makes full use of the setting, and I recommend making some time to enjoy it relaxing on the rocking chairs... Quite a bit of time, it is really nice. The location is very quiet, with few houses nearby. The owner is very welcoming... More

Wow, we loved this gorgeous, charming cottage. As we walked in over a small wooden bridge we were greeted by Polly the cat who was totally adorable. The cottage itself is beautifully furnished and decorated to a high standard. There is a small kitchenette that has everything you need to cook up something great, including a hotplate, microwave and weber... More

Thanks for your kind words. Yes Polly was a treasure of a cat. She would wait at the top gate for guests, see them down the pathway to the cottage and show them around. She was 17 years old and unfortunately passed away a couple of weeks ago. She is sadly missed by our family and guests that have returned... More

Just 35 minutes away from Adelaide Airport, Deni & Max have created the perfect place to rest and relax body and soul. So peaceful and tranquil, some days we just sat on the deck and soaked up the sound of the birds and the eucalyptus smell of the Gum Trees. The garden and all it's treasures from a bygone age... Opening a small white gate, a garden path leads you to a short wooden bridge ending at the deck of a small cottage, beautifully furnished in retro decor. The kitchen is well equipped with hotplate and grill for indoor cooking, a weber grill on the deck is great for outdoor cooking. We enjoyed breakfast on the deck in the mornings... More

Down a few steps, over the footbridge, and you'll enter in a fairyland of ferns, flowers, tropical birds, and the charming cottage. There is no wifi, but we found ourselves so enchanted with the surroundings that we (almost) didn't care. Highly recommend!

Yes it is a magical place to live. Unfortunately these 'secret hideaway' locations in The Adelaide Hills have very limited internet connection. We are very excited to see that our area will be included in the National Broadband Network program for the middle of next year. Thanks for choosing to stay with us. More

My boyfriend and I chose to stay at aldgagate b&b to be close to Hahndorf. Such a beautiful spot to stay for a few nights. The cottage was the perfect size for two, the bed was very comfortable, the shower was huge with great water pressure, the fire was a fantastic touch to make the cool Adelaide hills nights toasty... We stayed two night for our wedding anniversary and it was perfect in every way. The gardens and surrounds were beautiful, the running creek made it extra special. The location was great - very central to all of the Adelaide hills towns. I'm so glad we chose to stay here.

We stayed for 5 days and it was perfect. The location is peaceful, quiet and yet close to everything, especially the vineyards. Everything was comfy and clean and the fire was a great addition - as was Polly the cat. Perfect.

Once you park the car and venture down the path and across the bridge over the creek you feel like you are a world away from the hassles of everyday life, even though we were a mere 20-25 minutes from home. Arriving on one of the coldest days of winter it was lovely to cross the bridge and open the... More

Thank you for your fabulous review. You certainly had a cold weekend during your stay but the cosy wood fire is always lovely in the hills. We are glad you enjoyed your stay enough to return. We often have guests return during different seasons, just to experience the difference. Kind regards Deni. More
